Jim tells us about Hoist Lemonade as a company including the origins of Hoist Lemonade, their secret lemonade recipe and whether their lemonade would mix well with mead.

We discuss our partnership between Mead & Cheese and Hoist Lemonade and talk about our vision for the future. There is also new conspiracy that some meaderies have become inspired by Mead & Cheese.

Mead & Cheese experiments with surround sound while we discuss lemonade facts and whether pomelade, a drink made with pomelo, would be a good business idea. We then discuss what makes a drink an ade and what fruits we can make into ades.

Finally, we end the show with our original segment Pitch Invasion where Jim Sheppard must pitch to us a new ade drink for Hoist Lemonade to sell.

It is Mead Eve! To celebrate the day before International Mead Day, DJ Mead and DJ Cheese are back with a few meads in the studio including the Cornish Mead Co Heligan Garden Mead, Niddhoggr Mead and Lyme Bay Winery’s mead.

We start the show by discussing some of our favourite forms of transportation including trains, trams and the Reliant Supervan.

Then, Lord Jackson begins a discussion on hustling and hustle culture.

Lord West then updates the mead leaderboard, where Mead & Cheese rank eight different meaderies.

We discuss our mission statement, reminiscing about some of the previous Mead & Cheese. We then bring back a segment of the show called What Da Dog Doin’? but now with a twist.

Sad news for mead, Morrisons are slowly phasing out their sale of mead. We discuss how businesses should push mead.

Later in the show we talk about #DanielGate which is a conspiracy about LBC presenter, lawyer Dean Dunham, which says that his real name is Daniel Durham. We then talk about when we called into Nick Abbot’s show on LBC.

Ashfield District Council have announced that they plan to remove the Sutton Sundial from Portland Square in Sutton-in-Ashfield. In response, we have launched the #SaveOurSundial campaign to try and stop Ashfield District Council from destroying the beloved landmark.

We read a letter that Lord Thomas Alec Jackson (DJ Cheese) has written to Ashfield MP Lee Anderson asking him to challenge Ashfield District Council to save the Sutton Sundial.

Corey and Alistair gauge public opinion by reading through the Chad article about Ashfield District Council’s announcement as well as reading comments on Ashfield District Council’s Facebook post.

DJ Cheese calls into the show briefly to update us on his Cornish Mead Tour and to give his opinion on the Sutton Sundial situation.

We also discuss mead news, including the lowering water levels of Lake Mead, leading to a discussion of climate change and what the UK will look like if ocean levels rise. We also discuss the idea of an East Midlands super county.

Once DJ Cheese joins the show, we discuss his upcoming trip to Cornwall and the possible creation of a Mead Map of the UK.

During the political section of the show we discuss the current opinion polling of the major parties, the upcoming Conservative Party leadership race and the upcoming United States presidential election.

We then reveal our plans to expand Mead & Cheese, including a new Agony Aunt style segment called Mead & Cheese Solve Your Problems.

For the Sustainability Special of Mead and Cheese we are joined by The Sustainable Learning Officer of Change Agents UK, Charlotte Jackson, and musician Euan Fisher from the band Heart Sauce.

Charlotte and Euan have the hosts play a game about sustainability called How Bad Are Bananas which asks which items produce the most CO2.

Throughout the show we debate the ultimate question, which is worse for the environment, mead or cheese?
