For the 36th episode of Mead & Cheese Lord Corey Kaine West and Lord Thomas Alec Jackson start the show with a brief recap of the previous episode where they had Peter Taylor from Nidhoggr Mead Co feature on the show.

Lord West then discovers the hotkeys which will allow Mead & Cheese to have jingles and sound effects. We also talk all things mead and all things cheese as well as looking back on our favourite Mead & Cheese moments.

We discuss a new business plan for Dream Visual regarding VHS and Lord West talks about his plans for a film starring Jed. We then discuss KnowingToast and The Nithercotts. We also introduce a new version of the Mead & Cheese theme which we discuss.

Lord West and Lord Jackson then host Demon News, talking about the introduction of Demon Podcasts among other topics. We then introduce a new game where we guess who sent us different emails.

For the Nidhoggr Mead Special we are joined by the founder of Nidhoggr Mead Co, Peter Michael Taylor.

Before we are joined by Pete the hosts, Lord West and Lord Jackson discuss which cheese pairs best with Nidhoggr mead and discuss mead and its association with Vikings. We also discuss how Mead & Cheese has influenced the mead community.

Lord West and Lord Jackson also discuss Nidhoggr as a business, including how it won awards, it’s strong branding and how it greatly interacts with the community in Yorkshire. We also tell our listeners where they can buy Nidhoggr mead in Leicester.

Peter then joins us from his hotel in Buxton to answer all of our questions about Nidhoggr, including how he first started getting into mead making, using locally sourced honey, his work with the Save The Bees campaign, how he came about the flavours of Nidhoggr mead, which cheeses he think pairs best with Nidhoggr, the awards he has won.

Pete also promises to make us a cheese flavoured mead as well as telling us about his mead making process. Pete also goes into detail about how the cost of living crisis has affected his business. We then talk about people’s misconceptions of mead and how there is a mead out there for everyone, going on to talk about our favourite mead cocktails.

The hosts then have Pete play a game of two truths and a lie about mead. Pete then talks about his plans to create a maple syrup based mead which would be a vegan friendly mead.

To finish off the show we have Pete pitch to us an advert for cheese mead in a game of Pitch Invasion™.

It is the Jed special where we are joined by special guest Jedrzej Plociennik, better known simply as Jed. We ask Jed the important questions such as what his favourite cheese is, what is his favourite mead and we discuss filmmaking.

Jed talks to us about the short film he directed called Out There, which both Lord West and Lord Jackson saw at the Phoenix Cinema. Jed tells us about his experience with directing including the challenges that came with the role.

While Lord West leaves the studio to go collect some stuff for the next segment, Lord Jackson and Jed discuss their experiences with script writing, Jed’s dream projects, Jed’s favourite films, their future plans and discuss different film roles.

Upon his return, Lord Mead brings a goodie bag which includes a bottle of mead for Jed to try, the bag also includes some musical instruments including a steel tongue drum, a harmonica and a stylophone all to be played during the new musical segment where Jed must create a new ringtone for the new Jedaphone.

Corey, Tom and Jed then have a jam session with the instruments. Jed then reviews Sus Amogus by The Nithercotts and says where he would use it in a film. Tom also talks about his short film Obsession.

Everyone then discusses DMU’s plans to stop including the Adobe Suite as part of student tuition and how useful the Adobe Suite is. We also compare video editors such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut and Windows Movie Maker.

Jed gives us a brief Polish lesson, teaching us how to say mead and cheese in Polish and we then talk about languages and Lord Mead speaks about his ex-girlfriend who got deported. Jed then gives his review of Lyme Bay Winery’s traditional honey mead.

Everyone then tries to guess the flavour of Tom’s mystery chocolate before we test the call-in feature for the DemonFM studio. We also debate cheeses and perform some more live music before closing out then show.

In the Mead & Cheese ‘80s Special we are discussing all things ‘80s! Lord Corey Kaine West and Lord Thomas Alec Jackson start the show by hyping up their awaited guest Ryan Butcher of Ryan’s Records of the ‘80s on DemonFM.

Lord Jackson speaks about his business Dream Visual as the hosts await the arrival of their guest and the hosts also discuss what would be the ‘Mead Capital of the World’, the ‘Cheese Capital of the World’ and the ‘Sundial Capital of the World’.

Once our time traveling guest from the ‘80s arrives we talk about how many coaxial cables Demon Media owns and also introduce Ryan as the 80s expert.

We also give Ryan an ‘80s themed quiz to see if he lives up to his moniker of the ‘80s expert. Lord Jackson then has Ryan and Lord West compete in a game of Two Truths and a Lie themed around cheese. Lord West then has Ryan play a 1989 themed quiz in-order to promote his song 1989 by The Nithercotts.

Ryan then has the hosts compete in a music quiz about the 80s before we get onto more 80s quizzes and trivia before closing out the show with Ryan’s favourite memories of the 80s, including how to safely smoke in front of your kids.

In the Galaxy Radio Special of Mead & Cheese we are joined by the station manager for the University of Leicester’s Galaxy Radio, Emily Herbert. We are also joined by regular guest and DemonFM station manager Maddie Forster.

We discuss the differences between the University of Leicester and De Montfort University campuses and discuss Emily’s plans for Galaxy Radio and compare it with Demon Media.

An enemy of Mead & Cheese also sabotaged the show by messing with Lord West’s microphone and we reiterate our mission statement for Emily to hear.

We are joined by actor, musician and artist Ravel Lumba who joins us to perform live music that he has written and to talk to him about his experiences with making music, song writing and acting.

Lord Corey also talks about his own experiences with music and acting and we have discussions on playing a character when performing music.

We also talk about Lord Tom's film Obsession which Ravel starred in.

We discuss many things including life, canals, school and more. We also discuss mead and cheese… obviously.

Ravel also plays a game of Pitch Invasion where he must pitch to us a suitable punishment for plagiarism in an exam.

Lord Corey Kaine West has just graduated from De Montfort University and is celebrating with Lord Thomas Alec Jackson in the DemonFM studio. Lord West talks about his amazing entrance that he made during graduation where he emulated the Heart Break Kid, Shawn Michaels. Lord Jackson also talks about his student film, before the lads talk about some of the mead they have found around Leicester.

Mead & Cheese then answer audience questions submitted to them on their Instagram. Lord West then gives some cooking advice for Christmas dinners. The lads are then joined by Tyler De Loa from Omaha, Nebraska. Tyler talks about American cheese, the mead industry in the US and how he spends Christmas. Tyler also tells us about video games and how Mead & Cheese could be added to video games. We then discuss US vs UK on Cheese, Mead, McDonald’s and more.

We are joined by musician Kieran McCavana and writer A.J. Roberts for the Pirate Special of Mead & Cheese. Kieran is promoting his upcoming EP, Second Time Around, and Andy is promoting his novelette, Gentlemen of Fortune, as well as the Swanwick Writers' Summer School.

Lord Corey Kaine West has prepared a pirating quiz for the guests to go head-to-head. Then, Lord Thomas Alec Jackson gives the guests a two-truths-and-a-lie about pirates.

During the show we are joined by the Greek God, DJ Ya Boi! (Evan), who actually suggested the pirate special. We then discuss the Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise and our thoughts on it, leading to everyone revealing their favourite pirate related film not in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

Then, all three of our guests face-off in a Pitch Invasion where they must pitch to us the next instalment in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise but it must include mead and cheese. This is followed by another round of Pitch Invasion where the guests must pitch an anti-piracy advertisement to play before the film that won the previous round, the twist for this round is that the ad must be tragic in tone and include something ridiculous that you would not steal.

We put out a poll to the Great British Public where they vote on which song lyric is more threatening? “Don’t make me come for you” from the Kieran McCavana song Just a Loser, or “don’t you dare close your eyes” from the Aladdin song A Whole New World.

Then, we tell Andy our ideas for his upcoming stories in the Kestrel and Scar series. We also ask our guests what kind of pirates they would be.

Finally, we talk about building a cheese powered rocket as backed by our chief engineer Isaac Laing.
