Ever wonder how a song gets placed into a film. Here with me today is Mia Ziedler. She is currently working at NBC as a Sr. Music Licensing specialist. She formerly worked at Masterclass as an editorial professional and coordinator. During her college career in Santa Cruz, she held multiple internships within the music industry and participated with me as an extern at Warner Music. She is persistent, hard-working, and likes to create sound design projects and videos in her free time. Let’s welcome Mia now where we will learn about her eclectic background. 

It’s once again Tuesday on The Media Industry Guru Podcast. This week we’ll be talking about film scoring and licensing within the intersection of film, music, and TV. He is a senior graduating in June from UC Irvine in Business Administration. He was head of video production at EC Hispanic Media and has interned for major film studios including Gunpowder & Sky, Blumhouse, and was also an extern at UTA. During the pandemic he founded a great LinkedIn community called the Young Entertainment Professionals to educate and help people get entry level jobs in the entertainment industry. Here, we are going to learn about why he created this LinkedIn community and how it is benefited him with his personal and professional endeavors in the film business.

CatapultX is an on-stream video advertising firm that using programmatic AI technology to create new engaging formats for consumers. Zack will char about his start at Buzzfeed, his entrepreneurial mindset, and the steps he took to creating his firms. He is going to share somme great advice for people in their 20s who don't know what sector of the media industry that they want to work in.

Harrison Goldstein is a producer and founder of the podcast The First Act Podcast where he interviews music industry professionals. He is also a tech professional. Harrison is residing in Canada. He has worked a multitude of hats in the music industry for over 7+ years including in touring, brand partnerships, data science, and has a degree in management and accounting. Harrison also has a masters in software engineering. He has a such a creative and analytical background and we are going to hear about his experience working in the music industry for CRUSH Music a music management company to creating his own podcast.
