Newly re-elected Midtown Assembly Member Meg Zaletel has been through the wringer. After surviving a recall election last fall while she was sponsoring Covid mitigation mandates which led to the most vicious Assembly meetings in Anchorage history, she was named the interim director of the Anchorage Coalition to End Homelessness (ACEH). We talk about all of that and her hopes for the future. Note: this interview was recorded in Meg’s home which has an open floor plan with lots of windows, so you will hear traffic outside, her dogs barking throughout, and her husband setting off the fire alarms while cooking dinner. Two names that are mentioned but not identified: Nancy Burke was the MOA's Housing and Homelessness coordinator at the time; Jasmine Boyle preceded Meg as the director of ACEH.
