Slam the Gavel welcomes Megan. Megan  grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee where she works as a florist and is currently relying on God’s grace daily. After finally leaving her domestically violent marriage in hopes of a healthier future for herself and her one-year-old, Megan unjustly lost all rights and access to her child through unmerited false accusations from her ex-in-laws that lived in another state and were never investigated.
     Her son was ripped away from Megan,  from her home and handed to her divorcing alcoholic husband's parents in another state that she nor her ex were residents to. Megan and her son have been split apart for almost a year now with no routes to reunification because of a corrupt few in the family court system. She speaks to her son three times a week with only 15 minute phone calls.
     Judge Greg Seigler was her first Chief Judge, then Judge Robert Newton presided over her case however, he is now under investigation due to the murder of five children. Now, Chief Judge Huntley Crouch made the thoughtless and damaging decision to rip her child from the home he has known with his mother as the father didn't see the child for four months.
    In lieu of this ongoing trauma, Megan hopes to spread awareness of the hidden dangers of domestic violence in family court and the silence on the topic - especially in the church and the community and she believes the necessary reform will begin with conversations in the home and the education system.
