Melon Buffet - A Taskmaster Discussion Podcast

Because not much is going on in our lives, we keep the initial banter to a minimum.  But don't worry, we still manage to veer off-topic plenty of times.

Check out these epic 360 Images at the Taskmaster House by Andy Devonshire.

We both listened to Lord Greg and Barry Castagnola on Episode 86 of The Griefcast, with Cariad Lloyd, and the discussion turns into our own little griefcast.

This week learn the depths to which Tara's geekdom reach, on several levels.  We do our best to stay on topic and fail miserably.  We discuss the live task non-scandal.  News and updates on some Taskmaster veterans.  Charley gives some shout-outs (shouts out?) to some of our most loyal listeners.

Once again, you are made to suffer through banter about our personal lives, before we finally get on with our main purpose.

This week's spotlight focuses on Paul Sinha's career, and the latest news about his health.

Paul's blog post regarding his diagnosis.

Charley & Tara are both amazed that they have lasted five episodes without quitting.  We rattle on for an unusual amount of time about our personal goings on, including bagpipers in a small room, and singing waiters (and we apologize in advance).  This week's spotlight is on the lovely Sian Gibson. Iain Stirling goes head-to-head with Piers Morgan, which leads us to discuss the proper way to say TWAT.

In our shortest episode yet (mostly due to editing, because we were both behaving like idiots), we keep going off topic and stay less engaged than a toddler named Nell.  We put the spotlight on Lou Sanders, and we try to remember what the hell happened well enough to talk about it.

Check out Lou Sanders' Official Website for her latest tour info, as well as link to articles she has written about her life and other musings.

Charley will be performing in a stand-up competition at the Backyard Comedy Club in London, so if you are in the area, go check her out and cheer her on.

Charley and Tara discuss the finer points of Volcano construction, and whether an apology is really an apology if it's far worse than what you are apologizing for.  Tara gets far too excited discussing Tunnock's Tea Cakes and Caramel Wafers.  We show why neither of us are journalists in this week's spotlight of Joe Thomas, followed by some news about a few past contestants.  And during the long, late, and overdue editing process, Tara has realized just how often she says "Like" and "I mean", and isn't proud of it.

We are Charley & Tara, two friends from opposite sides of the Atlantic, with a common love for the hit British TV show, Taskmaster.  Tara gives her thoughts on why the American version didn't work. Charley gives us some insight into other international versions. Then we jump right in, going task-by-task for Episode 1 of Series 8, and who we think series champ might be.
