Meet Vaishali Dasgupta, a hotelier and artist, Vaishali is fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi, Bengali and Spanish. She was brought up in Calcutta while her roots are in Maharashtra, India. Her multi-ethnic background automatically makes Vaishali multi-lingual. 

Doing justice to her warm, vibrant nature, and a permanent curiosity for knowing places and creative things – Vaishali took up Hotel Management – a path which was unconventional in India, as compared to the medical and the Engineering fields that were popular at the time.

She has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, working with some of the big names in the industry. Vaishali believes that perfecting the art of hospitality involves commitment and an irresistible obsession which should be strong and passionate- something that has to come from within!

She has been featured in the Lonely planet for the Indian Traveller, Spain 2015 edition. Besides this her doodling also found her being discovered by the famous Catalan author Asha Miro with whom she has published 3 books on Mandalas for adults, kids and the elderly.

Meet Georgie, an entrepreneur and escapist of the 9-5 corporate life and Saigonese at heart. ‘

In 2015, she moved to Saigon and has called it home since then. Her fuel is anything related 

with food and the philosophy behind it. There she finds her niche as a wellness warrior, food

and feeling advocate, where she organizes bespoke experiences and events. She finds joy in 

sharing her knowledge with everyone she meets, as connecting is a huge part of her world and

daily life.

She is the founder and co-owner of L'Herbanyste, a vegetarian/vegan restaurant that is also a healthy hangout. She also founded the Chicks Club: Women-only yoga and adventure retreats in SE Asia.

Franck Daviniere quit his job in France for an adventure in Asia. In 2012 he and his wife welcomed the birth of their triplets, Alexandre, Adrien and Antoine. The family packed their bags and left the hectic Bangkok life for the laid back charm of Chiang Mai. They spent most of their time in Chiang Mai  trying to find the perfect place for the family to hang out. This inspired Franck to create, TRIPLETS Eat and Play, a quaint family-friendly place where kids have a blast while parents can enjoy delicious Mediterranean and Thai food.

Meet Purnota Dutta Bahl, founder and CEO of Cuddles Foundation that focuses on providing nutrition for children fighting cancer. Today Cuddles Foundation works out of 33 hospitals across 21 cities. Purnota talks about her goal to improve childhood cancer survival rate and how her organisation is helping the government and charity cancer hospitals with their expert pediatric cancer nutritionists and food aid.

As a Singapore resident who has also lived in different countries like the United Kingdom, India and Spain, I consider myself a global citizen and a traveler at heart having spent most of my life overseas.

I always believed in absorbing learning from and contributing in my small way to the culture by staying engaged with the communities I become a part of.

I understand my strength is in my voice and ability to engage with people. The natural progression from that led up to my journeying and exploring the podcast platform to bring it all together in the series Melting Pot.

After working on it for about a year, I am very excited to finally announce the launch of Melting Pot. Check out the trailer, which features snippets of chats with some of my guests coming from different walks of life, each with a unique and special passion which has become a way of life for them. 

Through this podcasting journey, I am humbled by how everyone has opened up their hearts and shared their life stories with me. I can’t wait to bring their stories to the world, for you all to enjoy, listen, appreciate, absorb and take away from.
