The book uses multiple streams of consciousness, and travels back and forth in time to reveal to us the events surrounding the moment when the lives of a simple Idahoan family were forever changed. Death, imprisonment, and a love story are all set in the backdrop of the beautiful Idaho mountains. We discuss what one of us dislikes about the format, and what the other appreciates in the intelligence for the writer. One of us is a fan, and the other wishes he didn't choose this book. Listen in to hear our thoughts about this rookie authors first book and how it compares to other authors' first ever novels.
