What is Easter? In Japanese culture it is the time of the blossom trees, a beautiful time. And when the blossoms fall, they fall gracefully, gently. It’s why the samurai place that symbol so often on their swords, to remind themselves to give thanks even in death, to fall gracefully.
Easter is a time of reflection, just as in Japan during the season of the blossom trees. Through all the difficulties, to remind us that even when we’re crucified, through the worst of pain, that there’s hope, new beginning and we just have to have faith that these times will pass.
