Founding Pastor Rick Duncan leads us again in the Autumn 2016 teaching series "Living New." Pastor Rick guides us into week 6 of the series as he looks at selected passages from Genesis 1-3, John 3, and Revelation 21. As Pastor Rick continues to show us how we as beloved children of God are to be self-feeders, he shows us that a biblical worldview helps us make sense out of what seems to be nonsense.

Lead Pastor Chad Allen takes us into week five of "Living New," the Autumn 2016 teaching series regarding the fruits of new life in a believer of Jesus Christ. This week Pastor Chad looks again at Bible intake and the role of Christians as self-feeders in Matthew 4:1-11. As a beloved child who has assurance in both my relationship with God and my eternity, who also feels close and connected to the Father through my prayer life, who because of the cross of Christ and the future coming of Christ, is being made holy, as one who God has called to be a self-feeder in His Word as part of the sanctification process, I can experience victory in life if the Word of God lives in me. Where last week we answered, "Why the Bible?", this week answers the "How" with the Bible. Learn the Word of God to live the Word of God and live in the Word of God so the Word of God lives in you.

Lead Pastor Chad Allen guides us into the fourth week of "Living New," the Autumn 2016 teaching series designed to help us grow in our new life in Christ. This week, Pastor Chad looks at 2 Timothy 3:14-17 as he shows us how to be a self-feeder of God's Word. We will be learning the pursuit and power of God's Word. And we'll be using Paul's instructions to Timothy on the Word of God (how he learned it, what it is and what it's useful for) to reinforce the value of God's Word in our lives. We'll answer the question: "Why God's Word?" as we are motivated to learn the Word of God so we can live the word of God.

CVC Young Adults Pastor Josh Stone guides us into the third week of "Living New," the Autumn 2016 teaching series on the fruits of new life. Pastor Josh will share with us about our sanctification as beloved children from 1 Peter 1:13-19. Freedom from sin happens when we look ahead to Christs's return and look back to Christ's cross. We need to be honest about our brokenness today.

Lead Pastor Chad Allen takes us into week two of Living New, the Autumn 2016 teaching series on growing in the fruit of your new life. Pastor Chad will look at prayer and the beloved child in Luke 11:1-10. People who love the Lord, love to pray. It's important for us to see prayer as a way that beloved children approach their heavenly Father. It's not a merely rare or awkward religious action. We will look at the two places where we see Jesus demonstrate prayer for the disciples. We see Jesus showing His personal prayer practice in the Lord's prayer/disciples' prayer, and we see Him showing us how to grow in our personal prayer life through the parable of the persistent friend.

Founding Pastor Rick Duncan carries us into week one of the Fall 2016 teaching series Living New. Last week Pastor Chad Allen introduced the series in a kickoff message. This week Pastor Rick helps us understand that we are beloved from Ephesians 1:3-14. The truths in Ephesians 1 will help us be assured of our standing before God. We are adopted as a child of God and God doesn't un-adopt us. We are forgiven of past, present, and future sins and will stay forgiven. We are sealed by the indwelling Holy Spirit who guarantees our salvation. When we are assured of all these truths, we become secure people, knowing we are blessed as beloved children able to weather the storms of life and able to bless and love others.

Lead Pastor Chad Allen kicks off "Living New," the Autumn 2016 churchwide teaching series on individual growth within CVC as he looks at Colossians 1:1-14. The Apostle Paul prayed for the Colossians to be growing in their faith in Christ. In Colossians 1, Paul prays prayers of thanksgiving for what growth had taken place in the life of the Colossians. He then prays that they will grow in their knowledge of Gods will which will lead them to walk with the Lord in a worthy and pleasing way. He prays about four ways they can be pleasing to God. The CVC leadership desires that same growth in our church body through the Living New series and commits it to prayer today.

CVCYouth Associate Pastor Joe Valenti brings us to the conclusion of "Voyage," our Summer 2016 teaching series through the book of Acts, as he looks at Acts 28. Although, the end of Acts is not the end of the story. The story continues, and we have a vital role to play as we take the baton from Paul, begin the next chapter, and run the next leg of the race.

Lead Pastor Chad Allen guides us into the fourteenth week of "Voyage," the Summer 2016 teaching series through the book of Acts. In this message, Pastor Chad looks at Acts 27 and shows that it gives us a dual example of both Paul's trust in God during his storm and shipwreck experience on the way to Rome, as well as revealing God's faithfulness and sovereignty during the storm and shipwreck. Storms do not define who we are, they reveal who we are. Are we trusting God? Will we be faithful to God? The same is true with God. Storms do not define who God is but reveal who God is. God is trustworthy. God is faithful. God is sovereign. God is good.

Lead Pastor Chad Allen takes us into week 13 of "Voyage," the Summer 2016 teaching series through the book of Acts, as he looks at three chapters, Acts 24-26. Paul demonstrates how the inclusive nature of the Gospel and the inclusive need for the Gospel didn't allow him to be intimidated when it came to sharing the good news of Jesus with all people, no matter how high or low their status. Paul broke racial, social and political barriers to share the Gospel. This is especially seen as he prepared to be sent to Rome. He is not intimidated to share the Gospel with high powered leaders, officials, soldiers, governors and kings. The Gospel is for all people no matter their status. We need to have the same courage as Paul to speak the Gospel to all people, even intimidating people or situations. Gods message is superior than our insecurities and our feelings. We need to be bold, courageous and unintimidated to share the Gospel will all people.
