Messages from Kingsfield Common for the Kingdom of Jesus Christ

Mary knew that time with her Lord mattered most. Jesus modeled this with his Father. We all know this matters, but most struggle with it. What are practical ways we can make space for God?

David walked with God through the vast array of experiences. It was his raw honesty with God about how he felt that propelled him on this journey. What might we learn here?

Suffering is a reality that affects everyone around the world. How does God respond to suffering? The gospel of Luke was writing to respond to the suffering that the people of Israel were facing at that time. God continues responding, in the same way, today, by making up a new, global, and compassionate community.

Jesus preached a sermon referred to as the Sermon on the Mount. After listing numerous Blessed are…Jesus calls us to be salt and light in the world. What does that look like for Christians today?

Abraham walked with God, leaving his homeland to go where God called him. This was a huge step of faith! What might Abraham have struggled with at this point? What enabled him to walk this journey? How can our walk be enabled by faith?

The Deceiver has been sucking the life out of us. Only the Holy Spirit Can Breath the Life We’re Longing for. May we look to Him for this inspiration.

We’ll consider what it means to ‘Walk with God’. Too often I/we are focused on Information and Action. But what does it look like to have a life of being ‘with’ God daily? Ezekiel shows us this is initiated as a gift by the breath of God.

Hope for healing comes through honesty, love for self and others, by the direction of the Holy Spirit through the Spirit-Led Self.

Both Jesus and Paul shaped people by inviting them to follow along, to live life side-by-side. Much of our discipleship is done by offering information. How might we shape people in the ways of Jesus by inviting them to imitate us?

I want to be someone who longs for the glory and presence of God above all else…. above career, money, influence, family. Simeon and Anna inspire us to be a people who yearn and wait for this. God will show up when we seek and wait.
