45 min - Out of Order, Part 5: Gratitude :: 9/25/22
John Driver continues the series by addressing the role of gratitude in our lives. Rather than hyper-positivity that denies the trouble of reality, real gratitude is the healthy balancing of one's viewpoint of an often harsh reality with an acknowledgment of an ever-present and eternal goodness unvanquished by trouble and evil. It is not just about seeing the good in all things, but believing the goodness of God is for you… that God's goodness exists and will ultimately prevail in all things. Gratitude helps to put the realities of life back into their correct order.

Sabbath is one of the most loosely phrased terms in a Christian's daily life, with multiple meanings and interpretations. Yet, specifically the Sabbath is a must. Let's explore today how we can understand the Sabbath in our life.

54 min - Out of Order, Part 3: Grace and Truth :: 9/11/22
John Driver continues our series by exploring the misunderstood nature of the way we grow in our faith. Though we tend to think it is by knowledge alone, the ways of Christ in Scripture reveal that we partake of the transformative elements of gospel as we follow Christ on a journey forward into life's varying experiences. As we keep moving, we are to continually pay attention to the gospel itself, never believing we have fully understood every facet. This means addressing our own interpretation of the most debated aspect of the gospel: the order in which grace and truth exists and should be applied. We tend to choose either a truthless grace or a graceless truth, but the life and words of Christ reveal a better way.

52 min - Out of Order, Part 1: Intro/Security :: 8/21/22
John Driver opens our new series, Out of Order, which addresses the biblical invitation to daily reorder our lives according to the higher realities of Christ and His ways, which include reordering the first as the last and the repayment for evil as good. This week's message also specifically addresses our universal quest to take hold of safety and security in this world. A daily and divinely-reordered approach reminds each of us that ONLY Jesus makes us dwell in safety (Psalm 4:8), so we must FIRST pursue security in Christ, even as we still engage in all the other aspects of wisdom and responsibility.

42 min - When God Speaks, Part 8: Hearing God in the Word(s) :: 8/14/22
It could easily be said the most frequent and accessible way in which we experience the voice of God is through what is commonly called "the word of God". Today Pastor Andrew takes our final lesson in our series, When God Speaks, and devotes it to understanding the word of God and the word of others in our life that moves us into a steadfast position as a follower of Christ.

48 min - When God Speaks, Part 7: Experiences, Trouble, & Grief :: 8/7/22
John Driver continues our series by exploring those aspects of life we most want to avoid: moments of trouble and grief. Without making a formula out of the way God speaks in our pain, we can be confident and comforted in knowing that God is very near to us when we are crushed in spirit and is faithful to speak in ways that change our lives, even when we can't always detect his specific words amid dark clouds of grief and pain.
