Theme: John baptizes with water those who genuinely repent as evidenced by righteousness; while pointing to Jesus the Mightier One who baptizes with the Holy Spirit and fire, bringing genuine repentance and the fruit of righteousness.

Theme: Even from childhood, Jesus is revealed as God’s uniquely favored Son, who is the wisdom of God for salvation to all peoples.

Theme: We are to be constantly amazed by Jesus, filled with the joy of His salvation, and proclaiming to all people His glory by the Holy Spirit.

Theme: King Jesus, worthy of all worship, is born in humility; moreover, the angels display the glory of God to mere shepherds. God is faithful to send his Son, and God is faithful to do all he has promised to do for us.

Theme: Our response to the birth of John the Baptist is to trust God’s word, to expect God’s will, and to proclaim God’s coming salvation in Christ.

Theme: Our response to the announcement of God’s coming Christ, is to rejoice in Him and the certainty of His salvation!
