The gospel is lived in and through us as it shapes our households. In Christ, we live marriage, family and labor differently because we are submitted to the King.

We are to put on the character of Christ, live together in new community and live gospel rhythms together under the rule and reign of Jesus.

The gospel calls us to live new lives in Christ. This involves putting to death and putting aside aspects of our former way of life.

Paul reminds believers of their union with Christ in His death and resurrection. Followers of Jesus are so united to Him that when He died, they also died to their old ways and self-rule. Likewise, when Jesus rose in victory, believers were raised to a new life that seeks to reflect His good, gracious, and glorious reign.

Self Made Religions are a burden to human kind. We need the gospel whereby God accepts us in Christ rather than trying to make ourselves acceptable by the observances of external religion.

We are to see to it that we are not taken captive by hollow and deceptive philosophies by being grounded in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through him we have our sins forgiven with Jesus triumphing over all powers and authorities through the cross.

Therefore just as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, continue to walk in Him...

Jesus, the very Son of God, became a human being to die for us and reconcile us and all things back into right relationship with God the Father.

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son...
