As the pod and town hall series go on hiatus for a few weeks (back the week of April 25th), Stephan and producer Kat Pipkin offer a brief segment all about how to message effectively around the moment's most pressing issues: The war in Ukraine, the need to confirm Hon. Ketanji Brown Jackson, and the wife of Justice Clarence Thomas and her role in the Jan. 6th insurrection.
Using messaging guru Anat Shencker Ossario's three-Vs method, we break down how to move the needle on these crucial issues.
Show Notes:
Anat Shenker Ossario tweet:
Value: Everyone has an equal say (vote)
Villain: A political party tries to court your vote. An authoritarian faction tries to keep you from voting and taking away every one of your freedoms.
Vision: The freedom to get to pick your leaders, the freedom for kids to learn the truth of our history - and understand who they are and now, the freedom to decide with whom you will make a family, the freedom to love.
Action: And it is ONLY by standing together for all of our freedoms, and surging at the polls to remove every one of them, that we can make this a place where freedom is for all, no exceptions.
