  • E57. The Maths ain't Math'π

HAPPY NOVEMBER - can you believe it?! The year is almost over. Here's a look into what's on this week's episode.

"Girl math" is not a recognized or legitimate concept in mathematics or any academic field. Neither is boy math nor corporate math. But heck, it sure does make a great way to justify impulsive spending behaviours or poke fun at nonsensical decisions or logics of men, the corporate world and our Asian parents.

In this episode, we delve into the sometimes perplexing, always loving, and occasionally nonsensical logic behind the way many Asian parents raise their kids. From the infamous "Tiger Mom" to the legendary tales of "Starving Children in Africa," we unpack the cultural and generational logic that shape these parenting styles. 🐅🍚

But don't worry, it's not all seriousness! We'll share heartwarming anecdotes and hilarious stories that illustrate how these experiences can be both challenging and endearing. You'll laugh, you'll nod in agreement, and you might even shed a tear or two. 😅❤️

We will also dive deep into the world of corporation logic, and what it's like to work a 9 to 5 job where selling your soul is rewarded with a Pizza party! YAYYY

Can't wait to see you guys on the other side.

    xx

  • E56. Struggling with our identities 🎭

In today's world, self-discovery is a challenging journey, accentuated by the weight of societal values and the eldest daughter syndrome. 😅 The "eldest daughter" often bears the burden of family expectations, which can lead to an identity crisis. 🙆‍♀️

Balancing personal aspirations with cultural norms can be a struggle. To truly discover oneself, individuals must break free from these constraints, unravel external influences, and redefine their path, even if it means challenging deeply ingrained beliefs. To be honest, it's probably easier said than done, like most things. 😬

On this week's episode, the girls deep dive into how life has been lately and why it's been feeling a little out of control. 🌪️ Jessie shares a glimpse into the courageous battle of her quarter life crisis, and Mary shares why being 30 is simply a number and her mind is not convinced otherwise.

  • E51. Let's talk about s*x baby 👉👌

Another week on our thought-provoking podcast! In this episode, we're boldly venturing into the world of public sex, PDA, and the intricate connection between sexual pleasure, shame, guilt, and the stifling of open discussions about intimacy.

Growing up Asian Australian, it's probably safe to say we're not the only ones who feel a bit awkies talking about sex and intimacy. We hope to unravel this connection slowly but to start things off on a lighthearted note, we hone in on our thoughts and feelings on other people's sexual experiences and questions.

Tune in to this lighthearted episode as we untangle and undress the quirks of intimacy.
