MFX Podcast

It’s that time once again – MFX is back to bring you the kind of loosely based around pro wrestling podcast that will tickle your funny bone until you squirt.  Join your heroes Duckman and Sir Ian Trumps as they traverse the week in pro wrestling, pop culture and everything in between.  On the show this week…

Full disclosure here folks: Duckman was pretty stoned during this show.  Unprofessional?  Maybe.  A damn good time?  Always!  The lads kick off with chat about the show becoming the new official podcast of Canadian passports (it makes sense when you hear it), there’s a preview of some fight that’s happening this weekend, not sure if you guys have heard about it.  Duckman reviews The Defenders and finally gets round to watching Logan – safe to say he loved them both.

There’s all your emails answered, with funny stories, drunken tales, Sir Ian being a hound dog and plenty more.  One of the most fun parts of the show as always – you get should get involved with MFX all the time.

Then it’s time for the WWE chat section of the show.  NXT Takeover and Summerslam are reviewed with one show being awesome and the other not so much.

As always the show is wrapped up with the Try Hard Ruler of the Week Award.  It’s a straight shootout between a dumb pervert and some hunters.

So sit back, relax and get your ear holes primed for some seriously entertaining MFX goodness.  The pro wrestling podcast that’s so good, you don’t even need to like pro wrestling to enjoy it!

As always thanks for listening and be sure to get involved with the show through all the usual channels.

It’s been a few weeks since the last show and despite the best efforts of Fuckface Von Clownstick and his chubby Korean counterpart, the world hasn’t ended…yet.  The lads discuss the world we live in and whether this could be the beginning of the end.  Don’t worry it’s not as dramatic and downbeat as it sounds.  They kick the funny into a higher gear as Sir Ian and his wife get tattoos.  Sir Ian couldn’t be more of his element if he tried.

There’s tons of pop culture chat on the Netflix series GLOW, on other great TV shows the lads have watched recently.  Plus the MFX Galaxy set the tone for the show with their suggestions for topics of discussion including bad food experiences, Disco Inferno being a sad perv and so much more!  They also answer your emails which is always fun.

The lads preview WWE Summerslam and talk the build to all the matches and what they’ve liked and disliked.  There’s an in-depth chat about WWE’s recent booking and how it’s left the lads feeling really bored.

As always the show is wrapped up with the Try Hard Ruler of the Week Award.  It’s a four way battle between dumb kids, dumber kids, Pokémon type nonsense and a man with a broken heart.

Time for some politics chat to kick things off this week as the lads tear into Donald Trump Jnr and his idiotic behaviour.  This leads them onto a discussion about whether or not we live in the most superficial and stupid time in human history.  Don’t worry, it’s more fun than it sounds!  The lads cover the latest shenanigans in the media circus that is Mayweather vs. McGregor.

All your emails are answered, some weird stories covered this week, plus the lads dabble in a little WrestleMania fantasy booking.  Then it’s time for the wrestling chat for this week’s show.  A full review of WWE Great Balls of Fire and some detailed RAW chat – plus the lads and the MFX Galaxy try to guess what Kurt Angle’s big secret is.

As always the show is wrapped up with a highly controversial Try Hard Ruler of the Week Award.

What happens when the lads get no sleep, get bored out of their minds by WWE and try to do a wrestling related podcast?  This, this show right here is what happens.  It doesn’t just go off the rails, it digs them up and throws them in the air with gleeful abandon.

The lads kick off complaining about WWE’s creative direction (or lack their of) but turn to much more fun things like the new Netflix show GLOW, McGregor v Mayweather and the latest trouble with the Han Solo origin movie.  The lads fly off on tangents that hopefully entertain and if they don’t, at least they pass a bit of time.

There’s your emails to answer and WWE shows to review.  Sir Ian rants on the movie Green Street and the terrible accents in it.  There’s Money in the Bank reviewed and some chat about RAW and Smackdown and how much they all sucked.  Duckman tries to crowbar in some NJPW news as well to offset all the negative moaning.

The show is rounded off as always with the Try Hard Ruler of the Week, which this week is a four way battle and Rybitch decides to drop by and lend his ‘expertise’ to the segment.

It’s been a big week of news and MFX is here to break down the UK General Election, or as it will forever be known as; Teressa May’s Biblical F**k Up.  The lads give their thoughts on the campaign, the outcome, what it means for the future and talk about running through fields of wheat far too much.

You sent in loads of emails, so the lads have plenty of random things to talk about.  Sir Ian continues his heel turn on the beloved Marc Abrigo, there’s DC v Marvel chat, 90s TV and tons more.

The wrestling chat this week is all about WWE Extreme Rules and how much it sucked, apart from the main event obviously.  The lads discuss Brock v Joe, have more fun at the fact WWE’s next PPV is called Great Balls of Fire!  There’s a quick recap of the main happenings on RAW, before Duckman gushes about the New Japan Best of the Super Juniors Tournament.

The show is wrapped up as always with the Try Hard Ruler of the Week Award.  No surprises who won this week.

It’s been a tough week for the UK after the terror attack in Manchester.  The lads discuss this latest horror and send their love to the people of Manchester.  They couldn’t do the show this week and not address this terrible incident.

The lads talk about the passing of Sir Roger Moore, their memories of him as James Bond and Sir Ian shares a fun story about the time he didn’t meet him.  Trust us, it’ll make sense when you listen.  There’s a story about a young man doing something inappropriate with one of those spinner things the kids are into these days – which is just dumb enough to cheer everyone up after the heavy opening to the show.

There’s tons of wrestling chat this week – reviews of Backlash and NXT Takeover Chicago, plus talk about WWE’s declining TV ratings, plenty of dog related puns for Roman Reigns.  Plus Randy Orton vs. Indy workers and more!  This is the fun part of the show, plenty of laughs to be had here.

They wrap the show up with the Try Hard Ruler of the Week Award, which is a two horse race of racism vs. stupidity.

Holy crap – 2 shows in a week!?  The hell is going on?  Well, with the world in ever increasing levels of chaos, we thought why not add to that by posting a new MFX show?  And holy mother of God to we have a GREAT show for you.  The lads kick off with tales of drunken Sir Ian on the rampage and Duckman has a new nemesis.  They answer listener emails that take in politics, sport and wrestling.

The middle of the show is wrestling chat heavy.  Plenty on RAW’s terrible rating, Braun Strowman’s injury and what that means for the new few months of main events.  The lads talk the destruction of the worth of titles in WWE, plus they wonder if it’s time for another revolution in wrestling on TV and what form that might take.

For some reason Rybitch is back on the show.  He’s debuting his new a segment called Around About with Rybitch.  This week, he’s investigating the real reason for Donald Trump firing James Comey.  Don’t get too excited though, he has no idea what he’s doing…obviously.

The lads wrap up the show with the funniest Try Hard Ruler of the Week Award in the history of the show.  Four awesome stories, some serious try hard behaviour and Duckman and Sir Ian lose their shit as chaos ensues.

Aw man do we have a great show for you lucky MFXers!  The lads dive straight into controversy as they discuss Charlotte Flair’s leaked nudes and Stephen Fry being all blasphemous and stuff.  Sir Ian then tells his story of attending the Anthony Joshua vs. Wladimir Klitschko fight at Wembley.  This is the kind of live review you could only get with MFX.  Then it’s Duckman’s turn to give his report on WWE Smackdown Live in Glasgow – his nephew’s first ever live wrestling show!

Sir Ian reviews Payback because Duckman couldn’t be arsed to watch it!  We get plenty on the WrestleCrap worthy House of Horrors match and loads of WWE chat.  The lads also go through the leaked first script for the movie on Vince McMahon’s life.  Even they couldn’t come up with something as weird and wacky as this.

Then they wrap the show up with a quick and slightly spoiler filled review of the AWESOME Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2.

Happy Easter MFX Galaxy!  Just like Jesus, we’ve decided to rise up today, but we’re better than Jesus cause we’ve got an awesome podcast to offer the world.  And what a podcast it is!  Duckman and Sir Ian talk kids and Ian’s first 8 months as a Dad and Duckman’s sixth year as an Uncle.  Lots of fun.

Then it’s time to talk wrestling.  The lads run down WrestleMania weekend…yeah it’s late, but you’ve not heard WrestleMania reviewed until it’s been reviewed by MFX!  They talk the Raw after Mania, the superstar shake up (or the jobber juggle as it’s forever known) and tons more.

There’s talk about HHH’s reaction to the Paige and Brad Maddox sex tapes.  Let’s just say Trips isn’t taking the news well.  Plus they give their take on the JBL/Mauro Ranello situation.  The show is wrapped up as the lads discuss all their recent favourite movie trailers – it’s been TrailerMania baby!  Plus Sir Ian educates Duckman on the wonder of Stephen King.

What’s this, an MFX podcast?  But we only got to hear the last one 6 weeks ago!  Well you’re in luck folks because a gap in their busy playboy lifestyles means the lads are back with an MFX show so packed full of pro wrestling and pod culture chat that it should come with a government health warning!

The lads discuss Duckman’s birthday – which is today!  They then get stuck into an indepth preview of WrestleMania.  They talk all the matches, the feuds and plenty more – including giving Seth Rollins an even more boring nickname than he already has, plus Sami Zayn gets a new gig working for a psychotic John Cena.  Ah, it’s good to have MFX back.  Plus there’s time for an update on the new IMPACT wrestling and some chat about what the future could hold for that permanently sinking ship.
