Hello and welcome back to this week's episode  of the Mic the Gardener - Gardening Podcast. This week you find me heading to Great Chalfield Manor gardens in Melksham, Bradford-on-Avon to chat to a previous guest on the podcast, garden writer, journalist, author, garden consultant and garden designer, Naomi Slade.

After a personal tour of the garden we found the perfect place to record this episode at the back of the Manor House, looking out over the perfectly planted Well Court and the beautiful gardens beyond.

I invited Naomi back to the podcast to chat about her new book ‘Lilacs - Beautiful Varieties for Home and Garden’ published by Pavilion Books (7th April).  We chat about the book and how it came about, the stunning photography photography Georgianna Lane and of course, lilacs.
