While I’ve only been doing comedy for a few months, I’ve been writing funny stuff for years.
Very little of it has been produced.
In fact, the closest I’ve been to having comedy produced is talking bollocks on podcasts. Which brings us to this week’s show.
(There is an alternative version of that setup, with the punch “…is making love to my wife” but I felt that was unfair on her as much as it is me. My jokes have to a) punch up, b) be about me, or c) have a self-deprecating punchline.)
In this week’s Mic Time, I update you on some recent trips to Manchester, a cancelled trip to West Yorkshire, and unearth a performance by some actual actors of my first sitcom script, The Riding Officer, back in 2012. (Spoiler: it isn’t brilliant, but it has jokes.)
The search for guests continues, so if you’re interested or know someone how might be, let me know!
Enjoy the show, and take it easy!
