So here we have famous Robin the Hood, receiving so very, very much from the rich, notice I left out the word "stealing"? And is he giving to the people? Health benefits, food benefits, education, housing credits?

The team leader should have the ability to select the best people for the job. Republican, Democrat, Independent, Libertarian, the question should be whether they are qualified and capable.

Now is the time to step forward. Not after the midterms, not after Trump and his machine make more headway and do more damage. Let's see some leadership. Someone, or maybe a team, with an actual plan. What a concept. A plan that might work for both the blues and the reds. Oh my, I must still be dreaming.

keep the RINO. Just put an H in it. A Rhino is a thick skinned, large horned animal that doesn't move for anything and has been around for fifty million years.

That's a considerably fiercer mascot than whatever crawled out of Mar-a-Lago.

That doesn't mean no accountability. There should still be real oversight, reinstate the Inspectors General, put them back under Congress's control, and let them do their jobs. Oversight isn't revenge. Revenge is spending two years trying to erase a president instead of one day trying to fix what he broke.

The other tactic — and this one is truly scary, because it's starting to work on me — is fatigue. I'm tired. You're tired. Everybody's tired, burned out from all the BS. And "so what" is exactly where fatigue leads you. The moment you get there, they've already won. Not because they beat you in court. Because you stopped watching the scoreboard.

Right now, you, the American people, are still in charge. I'm just not sure for how much longer that stays true.

What comes next isn't up to the Democrats. It isn't up to Trump. It isn't up to me, either, bummer. It's up to you.

If Donald Trump were impeached and removed from office, there would be no special election and no national debate over his replacement. Under the Constitution, Vice President JD Vance would become President.

So what has Trump actually accomplished in his second term, grand old 47? He's out to dominate the world, not king, but world emperor, and what he's getting back is a redesigned world that feels increasingly comfortable telling him to bugger off. From a global point of view, good going, Donald. Maybe we should keep you in office a bit longer.

On top of that, this stand-up comedian was then elected President of the United States. Can you believe that?

Laughter from the audience is acceptable. It was a good delivery. But maybe a little too close to home for some in the crowd.

Well, I can't get paid as a political commentator, and it doesn't look like I'll make it as a comedian either. So what do I do instead?
