I have been a hot mess in term of having spare time and dealing with physical stress to do a full podcast. Instead of trying to record a full episode and connecting with Ken to help fill in the blanks, I took the opportunity to give some small updates, correct something on the EVP podcast, and share what Rich has to say about watching Ghost Adventures. Heck, I never even knew he watched the show!
The saying of "getting old is not for sissies" is really hitting home of late!

This time around, I give an overview of EVP, or electronic voice phenomenon. What they are, Ken's explanation of how they work, how you can do it yourself, and how to listen for editing or fakery. I also pass along Ken's opinion of how the dictionary box works.
I think I deleted about 4 minutes of my verbal gobbledygook from the podcast, and I apologize if things got a little out of context. The irony of me talking about talking only to be verbally tripping over myself so badly that I cleaned up that much out of the podcast

In the previous episode, I kept dipping out into side topics that I felt needed more explanation and filling out. I finish my thoughts on paranormal investigators and explain why the living don't need to tolerate negative dead people living with them. I apologize for the big jump cut about halfway through the podcast. I botched up my thoughts to speech badly and deleted it.
Up next: EVPs or electronic voice phenomenon.

I had a family member pass away a couple of days prior to this episode. I decided to record my thoughts and feelings while it was still fresh in my mind. I wasn't close to this family member, but I still experience some grief at the passing of someone I know. His passing wasn't unexpected, it just came more quickly than was predicted.
In this episode, I relay my feelings, sensations, thoughts and other related experiences as a way of giving insight to what it's like for a medium to experience grief. Prior to the recording, I had been on a casual Zoom chat for hours and hadn't realized that I had some speaking fatigue. You might need to turn up the volume a little bit to catch some of my words, and I apologize for that.
Part two of paranormal investigators and the dead coming next.

A simple question started a big conversation between Ken and I. Nothing new there -- when he was alive, we'd get into these deep thinking conversations all the time. This time it happened to start with me asking "why do I never feel you as a cold spot?" and it devolved from there into paranormal investigators.
I've only watched one show, Ghost Adventures, over the years. They tend to keep the theatrics down while mostly maintaining a rational method of collecting evidence. Attempts at watching other shows made me turn them off. Except GA. The show drew me in and I kept watching. Nowadays, it's hard to watch, and I explain why in the podcast. But I wanted to give a medium's perspective of how they fit in the paranormal world and why they're a net positive for the world in general.
There is linking information from that conversation that needs to have its own focus in another podcast. That'll be the followup to this one.

I thought I'd have time to edit this one, but if I, like Jim Croce wished, could put time in a bottle, I would. I'm throwing this one out in its unedited state in the interests of getting back into the rhythm of making content.
In this episode, I talk about the computer issues that kept me away from doing the podcast, the EVP with Ken, and discuss how dreams with loved ones work in general. I have a couple of tasty topics lined up, but I will make a part 2 to this topic with personal experiences in case it helps someone.

Or computer purgatory. Outer space sounds sexier, though.
Due to a major technological issue, I was unable to do a regularly scheduled podcast. The issue is fixed, I have full confidence that my new and improved computer will hold up to the rigors I put it through, and enable me to get back into making regular episodes.
This short podcast tells you what happened, what it took to fix, and the topic of the next podcast. Spoiler alert: I'm going to talk about dreams with the dead.
There's nothing quite like coming to the realization that someone you thought of as a friend turns out to be a toxic mess who's intent on keeping their hooks in you. In this episode, I discuss my friendship with Tony and why I needed to get him out of my life. He decided my feelings don't matter and that he can rule my roost. My response? No way, Jose'.
As a bonus feature, a thunderstorm was rolling through at the time I was recording and supplied authentic atmospheric effects throughout.

The internet is full of stories of medical professionals who have patients that talk about deceased family members coming to visit. That's when the medical professional picks up the phone and calls in family members to say goodbye. I try to focus on the living and the dying's perception of these events in this episode and try to cover as many aspects as I can.
I've realized I sometimes sound clipped in my speech and I'll explain that in the next episode. The link to Baumgartner Restoration videos here:

Earlier this week, I came across a post from a set of names that seemingly had a good amount of authority at one point. Somewhere along the line, someone grabbed that wheel and turned it sharply in a different direction. This post was espousing some really bad science and it came from the other side. My face when I read this: o.0
Dear listeners. It pissed me off. And while I don't slam my fist on my desk, much less animated as I speak, I do have the capacity to get angry and talk about it. To the point where I'm putting up this podcast inbetween my normal schedule.
Moral of the story is: when one is trying to make the metaphysical and life after death into something that people are interested in having a rational discussion about and exploring the possibilities of, don't ruin it by putting out junk science.
