On January 24, 2012, the body of Jane Bashara, a 56-year-old resident of ritzy Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan, was found dead in the backseat of her Mercedes SUV in a seedy area of Detroit. The police first went to interview her husband, Bob Bashara, who came from an extremely prominent Lebanese family in the area. Bob denied anything to do with his wife's murder.
