God is not angry at his creation and God desires and has always desired to be present with his creation. At Christmas, we reflect on the amazing gift that God gives to all of creation when God chooses to become human flesh and blood, move into the neighborhood and be present once again with his creation.

For many, we have created a god who looks very much like we might consider god to be like if we ourselves were god. Controlling. Dominating. One who does not suffer. However, this is not the picture of God that we see when we look at Jesus who lives his entire life in love. The good news of the gospel is that God really is and does love.

Paul tells us in Colossians that Jesus embodies all of who God is. In the book of Luke, the angels declare that they have brought good news of great Joy. In this talk we discuss the fact that just as Jesus showed us, God is not angry, but instead is actually quite pleased and filled with joy. It's who God is.

Jesus is peace embodied. In a world that is falling apart all around us, it is possible to actually experience peace though the Spirit and to not only experience it, but embody and share this peace with the people and world around us.

Hope is one of the greatest gifts that God gave to us when he became flesh and moved into the neighborhood. Now, we hum this tune of hope that wells up within us and we look to the Spirit to give us the lyrics.

Changing is difficult, but it is a part of how we grow and mature. We can't really be corrected into change, judged into change or commanded to change. It's a process that we must cooperate with the Holy Spirit in. St. Paul desired to see people change in the ways of Christ. In one of his more interesting letters, he invites his friend Philemon to change his thoughts and ways.

Election week seemed a bit chaotic in the U.S. This week we took a bit of time to reflect both personally and corportately as a community of faith.

The question is often asked by well meaning Christians, "who would Jesus vote for?" In this talk we take a look at Jesus' response to 2 opposing groups when both were asking him to pick their side.

The church has been set apart by God to live as a society within the society. A society that presents and represents the Kingdom of God to all of creation, living as a people who are not driven by the systems of this world but who are seeking and living out the beautiful ways of God.

In this world there are two kingdoms. The kingdom of the world and the kingdom of God. In this message we compare and contrast the systems that drive this world against the kingdom that is God's.
