It's election time and once again, U.S. citizens are drawing lines in the sand, picking sides and fighting hard. But what about Jesus' followers? How does a follower of Jesus maintain sanity, hope and faith? In this message, we look to the Scriptures and the history books to gain a firmer understanding on how Jesus' followers have understood kingdoms and their role as citizens of another kingdom - the kingdom of God- throughout the centuries

Sometimes our biggest struggles with faith have more to do with us and less with God. Often times our humanness gets in our way of really trusting in God's mercy, grace and love. This week we look at how Jesus responds with beauty towards the humanness of his friend Peter and press into how Jesus really feels about our humanness.

As we conclude our series on prayer, we dive into the role that prayer plays in soul care, how we are formed and shaped by prayer and how prayer is an invitation to press into the good things of God as he shapes us.

We live in a world that is run by kingdoms, charged by power and in search for glory. Interestingly enough, the early church fathers added a conclusion to the prayer Jesus taught us by proposing that God's Kingdom and God's power and God's glory are what ultimately matter. In this podcast, we look at this obscure phrase and press into what it might actually mean for us today.

We continue our series on Prayer as we look this week at the phrase 'Deliver us from evil' from the prayer Jesus taught us to pray.

Jesus gives his disciples a framework for prayer. In this prayer, Jesus encourages us or even better implores us to ask God for forgiveness. This forgiveness is God's amazing gift and he is excited about extending his love and mercy to us.

"Give us this day our daily bread" is the 4th petition in the prayer that Jesus taught us to pray. This petition speaks to our dependence on God for provision and invites us to speak freely before God and ask for what we need.

Jesus teaches his followers to pray "Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Christianity is not an abstract religion of the spirit but is grounded in the concrete reality that Jesus is the true Lord and King of the world and we are invited to participate with God in this kingdom reality.
