Is it possible for the Divine to use whatever we are currently going through to shape us and form us for future endeavors? The work of redemption is God's work.

Throughout life, there are countless times that life does not go as we thought it would or should. In addition, many times we wonder if God has forgotten God's way as God is not acting according to our plans. In this podcast we talk about learning how to reroute and not turning away from God when God does not live up to our expectations.

Perhaps one of the most amazing things about the Divine is that the Divine searches for us, seeks us out, pursues us and invites us to partner with God in the work of creation.

As we continue our series looking into the 40 days of events between Jesus' resurrection and ascension, in this podcast we look at the actual ascension and what the implications might be for those still here on the planet as Jesus' followers.

Interestingly enough, after Jesus was raised from the dead, there are numerous encounters where his own friends did not even recognize him. What does this lack of recognition say to us about the life of the future?

For so many, doubt has often been seen as an obstacle to faith or something to be overcome. However, what if the Divine is okay with our doubt and even our lack of faith. Maybe, what God is actually looking and hoping for is trust in the middle of the muck and the chaos, even if it's doubt filled.

Jesus tells us to be baptized after following him. But why? Baptism is one of those sacraments that is a gift to Jesus followers - an outward sign of an inward grace. Baptism is a visible sign of the promise that God has reconciled us to Godself and will keep his promises to us, even when we break our promises.

The free gift of God to all people is the gift of redemption and reconciliation. However, for those who want to further pursue this life of the Divine in the here and now and begin living into God's reality that Jesus invites us into, it will take some initiative, commitment and want to. Jesus offers life to the fullest, and stepping into it looks a lot like giving our lives to this way of life.
