Pete and Joseph finish the last of the Best Pictures nominees as they review the Wagner Moura 70's thriller, The Secret Agent. While the name may be misleading, and the themes and historical details may go over the heads of Amercian audiences, this moody atmospheric film will take you to a time and place that you may have never given a second thought, and you'll be better off for it. Just beware The Hairy Leg!

Pete and Joseph speak Norwegian this week as they review Joachim Trier's follow up to The Worst Person in the World, Sentimental Value (2025). Starring Stellan Skarsgard and Renate Reinsve as a father daughter duo wrestling with past hurts and current scripts to come up with their new normal late in life. Watch along with the gang, then weigh in on if this one is worth the hype or should never have been nominated for Best Picture

Pete and Joseph get sad together this week as they review another Best Picture nominee, Hamnet (2025). Chloe Zhao's follow up to Marvel's Eternals shows that she did not fall completely into the studio system, as she brings the viewer on a tale of how William Shakespeare may have written Hamlet. What points in his life led him to pen his classic play? Tune in, then watch for yourself

Joseph & Pete hit the track this week as they review the surprise nominee for Best Picture at the 2026 oscars, F1: The Movie. If you think you've seen this sort of story before, well buckle up because you have! And if you think you can predict the blossoming of the unnecessary love story, then you're right! But if you think this movie should have been in the running for Best Picture... I don't know what to tell you. Tune in and see if we are too hard on it, or not hard enough

Joseph & Pete head to the theater to watch a musical biopic of the woman the brought Shakers to America... in 70mm! The Testament of Anne Lee stars Amanda Seyfried, and is gorgeous and expansive. Surprisingly, Testament was passed over by the Academy, but it's 100% worth your time. Tune in to get an idea of what to expect, and go seek it out yourself.
