Ephesians 4:1-6. Unity is not something the church has to create. It's something we already have in Christ but are called to live on earth in a manner worthy of this spiritual reality. We can only do so when we believe the gospel and relate to one another as God has related to us in Christ.

Ephesians 3:14-21. Why do we need God's power and presence in our lives? Because we're weak in faith and weak in our mind's understanding of the incredible love and power of God.

Ephesians 3:1-13. Paul became a peace-making activist after experiencing God's grace personally and among the multi-ethnic churches he planted. He believed God was most glorified when the church is most unified.

Ephesians 2:11-22. The gospel has the power to truly make peace and unify people of different parties or persuasions. It creates unity in diversity, not uniformity, giving us allegiance to a kingdom beyond this world.

Ephesians 2:11-22. The root of racism is misplaced identity, which creates an "Us vs. Them" mentality. The gospel reforms our identity and restores our true identity. It makes a brand new humanity, one reconciled to God and one another.

Ephesians 2:1-10. You are important. Your life matters. You're significant. We want those statements to be true, but we often question them. The gospel explains why we question our significance and how it frees us to stop our questioning.

Ephesians 1:15-23. Is it possible that after beginning the Christians life full of joy and intimacy with God that years later we can settle for Christian moralism? It happened to the Ephesian church, and can happen to us if we're not careful and prayerful.

Ephesians 1:1-14. The world tells us our identity is based on what we do, what we have, and what people say about us, but our identity is in Christ. We are what he says about us. We are chosen, blameless, beloved, adopted, redeemed, set free, and sealed in Christ.

John 17:8-19. What would Jesus pray for his disciples, knowing he was about to leave them in the world without his protection? He'd prayed that the Father would protect them from the evil one while sanctifying them by his word. He prayed they would live like sent ones, living in the world but not being of the world.

John 13:34-35. Jesus lays out for His followers what they were to be known for. Surprisingly, He didn’t say they were to be known for how they loved Him. At least, not directly.
