Psalm 146. What is Biblical justice? It's both punishing wrongdoers and caring for (not ignoring) the oppressed. Only God is purely just, so we cry out to Him for complete justice while at the same time, we are moved in worship to bring His justice to earth.

At the end of this life, we will stand before God to give an account for how we have lived on earth. This reality should cause us to live for God and love others so that we can make a difference in this life and the life to come.

Revelation 21:1-8. The highlight of heaven is that God will dwell among us, and we will see Jesus face to face. All other pleasures in heaven will be derivative from God's presence with us.

If there is life after this life, what will it be like? The afterlife, as described by Jesus and his disciples, is very similar to what we experience on earth, only more beautiful. We'll be reunited with friends and family who share our faith to eat, drink, and enjoy each other forever.

Is there life after this life? We believe so because Jesus promised he was preparing a place for us, but there is growing worldwide scientific evidence mounting as well. Thousands of people have experienced near-death experiences that have scientists and skeptics believing there is life after this life.

Philippians 1:12-21. Is it possible to have joy while in isolation and captivity? It is when your joy is anchored to Jesus rather than your circumstances.

Ephesians 5:15-17. During this pandemic, we've been focused on being careful with our physical health. We also need to use this time to be careful with our spiritual health so that time is not wasted but instead redeemed.

Isaiah 40. In times of waiting, we can be passive (thinking we can't do anything) or active (thinking we can do something). Waiting on the Lord, however, is coming to God, asking him to do something. Waiting requires surrender, prayer, and trust.

We all wrestle with the question of why God allows evil in the world. If there was a perfect answer to the question, it might not help us because what we want more than answers is the nearness of God. We want a God who feels our pain and enters into it and provides a way out of an evil world.

Easter 2020. Even while we're in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, we can find peace because of what Jesus did for us. We can have peace with God, peace in hard times, and peace in the face of death.
