  • New wave of Iranian missiles intercepted in the skies above Amman
    (15 Jun 2025)
    RESTRICTION SUMMARY:
    ASSOCIATED PRESS
    Amman, Jordan – 15 June 2025
    ++NIGHT SHOTS++
    1. Various of new wave of Iranian missiles being intercepted in the sky above Amman
    STORYLINE:
    A new wave of missiles were seen being intercepted in the sky above Jordan's capital early on Sunday, as Tehran unleashed a fresh barrage.
    Israel, meanwhile, launched an expanded assault on Iran on Sunday, with direct strikes targeting its energy industry and Defense Ministry headquarters.
    The simultaneous strikes represented the latest salvo since a surprise attack by Israel two days earlier aimed at decimating Tehran’s rapidly advancing nuclear program.
    New explosions boomed across Tehran as Iranian missiles entered Israel’s skies in an attack that Israeli emergency officials said killed four people in an Galilee apartment building.
    Casualty figures weren’t immediately available in Iran, where Israel targeted its Defense Ministry headquarters in Tehran as well as sites that it alleged were associated with the country's nuclear program.
    Amid the continued conflict, planned negotiations between Iran and the United States over Tehran's nuclear program were cancelled, throwing into question when -- and how -- an end to the fighting could come.

    The prayer chain took place in the shade of the tree at ‘El Golfito’ park, where Uribe fell, covered in blood.
    Today, the spot is surrounded by Colombian flags, candles, flowers, and messages.
    "We come here to put our grain of sand in this place where Miguel was attacked so that the Virgin reaches every heart and people are converted. We need that, Colombia needs a lot of prayer," said Sandra Talero.
    The senator’s condition remains “critical, with a guarded neurological prognosis,” according to the report issued Friday by the doctors.
    The daily medical updates that had been provided were paused over the weekend and are expected to resume in the coming days.
