    London, UK - 3 June 2025
    1. Various wide exteriors of the Serpentine Pavilion for 2025, called 'A Capsule in Time', designed by Bangladeshi architect and educator Marina Tabassum
    2. Various wides of pavilion interior showing a semi-mature Ginkgo tree
    3. Various of architect Marina Tabassum posing for photos in front of photographers near the pavilion
    4. SOUNDBITE (English) Marina Tabassum, architect:
"We call it the Capsule in Time, so it has a certain kind of... (it's based on) my interest in architecture and time and I try to work on that idea and it is kind of shaped as a capsule. So you see there are two half domes and then we have these two vaulted spaces, so four segments, and in the centre we have this beautiful ginkgo tree, which is actually aligned with the bell tower of the Serpentine Gallery."
    5. Wide exterior of pavilion
    6. Mid tilt of exterior of pavilion showing wooden capsule form with a translucent façade
    7. Close of translucent façade as a tree can be seen in the reflection
    8. SOUNDBITE (English) Marina Tabassum, architect:
"You see this translucent material which brings in the light through the material itself and creates this very ethereal kind of an atmosphere within the space which was kind of intentional. The tree is a sort of a representation of park and nature and in a way brings a scale to that space. At the same time, it's also quite nice that it's a gingko tree which we selected. It's one of the oldest trees and a very resilient tree. And beautiful sculptural form and I love the fan-shaped leaf that you can see there."
    9. Wide pan of pavilion interior showing Ginkgo tree
    10. Various of Ginkgo tree
    11. SOUNDBITE (English) Marina Tabassum, architect:
"I come from Bangladesh where it's a delta and parts of Bangladesh, because of the hydrological system of the Ganges Brahmaputra system, it's constantly moving and changing in shape and form and people in those areas are constantly moving also. So what we know as home or house or settlement is not static, it also moves."
    12. Mid pan of translucent façade near the roof of the pavilion
    13. Close of translucent façade detail
    14. SOUNDBITE (English) Marina Tabassum, architect:
"For me, architecture is not always about staticness, but it's also about this temporality. And the pavilion itself is a kind of a temporal structure, which is here for five months. And then it will move on to its second life or an afterlife. And it was an interesting point for me also to bring that analogy back from Bangladesh to here and work on this temporality. That's why it's called the Capsule in Time."

  • Interview with Usher on Confessions Tour, Wembley (R84)
    (22 Jul 2004)
    10 mins approx
    1. Sit down interview with Usher, including soundbites:
"We are at Wembley. Man, it's always like a storm calming before the big thunderstorm man. It's been a good tour, I'm very very happy. We're rounding the bend, it's just about over. But it's been a good tour on this European run. Don't you know we're doing an interview?! Quiet!"
"You know, I'm not extremely superstitious, but I do have a ritual that I perform every time I'm on stage, I sort my M&Ms, I sort them and put them in individual glasses, and when I'm done I come back and hopefully they're sorted by colour. Whatever, that's my ritual. On top of that I say a prayer. Me and my entire entourage will come together and hold hands and we'll say a prayer wishing for a great show that everyone enjoys the show and is safe and in good health."
"My greatest strength is my love - my love for whatever I do, my passion. My passion and love. I wouldn't be able to tell you my weakness because everyone would use it against me! But I'd say one weakness I do have is chocolate. I do have a weakness for chocolate. I'm addicted to chocolate, I'm addicted to nice things. I love great garments, nice clothing."
"Well the sky's the limit. There's so much more in life to be accomplished, to be the greatest of all time is something that takes a long time. I've just always strived to be the greatest at what I've done and with persistence and focus over time who knows, I may be considered one of the greatest or the greatest. I don't look to have myself considered the greatest but if I gain that title over the next thirty years so be it. But I do plan on going up up up up up up up. People said on my last album, how do you plan on beating the success of '8701'? Well, look at 'Confessions.'"
"The Tony, Oscar, Emmy man! The Tony, Oscar, Emmy, Grammy, I got the Grammy, that's why I kind of leave it out. But the Tony, Oscar, Emmy is the next step for me."
"The hottest girl in music? Man I don't know who the hottest girl is. I know that there's a few hot ones out there, you've got Brandy, you've got Alicia Keys, you've got Jamelia, you've got Beyonce - so many of them man I couldn't choose one! I don't know, maybe the next thing I'll do is put out an album and do duets with all of the hottest ladies - that would be hot! Be on the lookout for that - in stores 2006."

"We condemn the occupation of parts of Lebanon by the Zionist regime and support all efforts by the government and the people of Lebanon to expel the occupiers by any means, including through diplomacy."

    STORYLINE:
Iran’s foreign minister said Tehran supports Lebanon’s efforts to pressure Israel to end its military presence in parts of the country, including diplomatic moves “to expel the occupiers.”
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi added on Tuesday that Iran looks forward to relations with Lebanon based on mutual respect under the new circumstances in the country following the Israel-Hezbollah war.
Araghchi’s visit comes after Iran’s main Lebanese ally, Hezbollah, was weakened by the 14-month war with Israel that left much of the Iran-backed group’s political and military leadership dead.
Araghchi’s visit is his first since October, which came at the height of the Israel-Hezbollah war that ended a month later with a U.S.-brokered ceasefire.
The war killed more than 4,000 in Lebanon, displaced over 1 million people and caused destruction that the World Bank said will coast $11 billion in reconstruction.
Since the war ended, army commander Joseph Aoun was elected president and prominent jurist and diplomat Nawaf Salam became the country’s prime minister.
Both Aoun and Salam have repeatedly said that only the state will monopolize the use of weapons in Lebanon.
The visit also comes after the government of Syrian President Bashar Assad was removed from power in December by insurgent group’s opposed to Iran’s influence in the region.
Assad was one of Tehran’s closest allies in the Arab world and his country was a main link for the flow of weapons from Iran to Hezbollah.
Aoun told the visiting Iranian official during their meeting that Beirut wants “to strengthen relations from state to state with Iran.” Aoun’s comments were released by his office.
Over the past decades, Iran funded Hezbollah with billions of dollars and sent all types of weapons to the Lebanese group enjoying wide influence in the small Mediterranean nation through.

"In difficult times, you should not engage in political experiments. And this was a political experiment with one of the four parties. The parties are populist parties. And you can see that it doesn't work. Problems arise from the populist parties that, yes, always leave when things get tough. They don't want to take responsibility for difficult decisions. And that's what you see here. You also see that political populist parties are often unable to provide capable, robust leaders. And that's what we've seen over the past two years."

    ++ENDS ON SOUNDBITE++
    STORYLINE:
Far-right lawmaker Geert Wilders pulled his party out of the ruling four-party Dutch coalition Tuesday in dispute over a crackdown on migration, sparking a political crisis and possibly the end of the 11-month-old government of Prime Minister Dick Schoof.
Wilders announced his decision in a message on X after a brief meeting in parliament of leaders of the four parties that make up the fractious administration.
"I think it's an opportunity for all democratic parties to rid ourselves of the extremes because it's clear that with the extremes you can't govern," said Labour Party (PvdA) leader Frans Timmermans.
"When things get difficult, they run away," he added.
The government meltdown comes just three weeks before the Netherlands is scheduled to host a summit of NATO leaders in The Hague and amid global instability.
It was unclear what would happen next.
The government could attempt to remain in power as a minority administration or call new elections for later this year.
Schoof called an emergency Cabinet meeting for early afternoon.

Democratic Party lawmakers cheered on Tuesday after a joint exit poll showed its liberal candidate Lee Jae-myung was forecast to win the South Korean presidential election.
Meanwhile, there were less jubilant scenes at a gathering of conservative People Power Party members.
The exit poll by South Korea’s three major TV stations – KBS, MBC and SBS – showed Lee was projected to obtain 51.7% of the total votes cast during Tuesday’s election, beating conservative candidate Kim Moon Soo with 39.3%.
The election is meant to find a successor of Yoon Suk Yeol, a conservative who was removed from office in April over his ill-fated imposition of martial law.
The wining candidate is to take office as president on Wednesday without the usual two-month transition period.
