Elon Musk has expressed his regret over his war of words with President Donald Trump, backing down after less than a week and conceding that “some” of his X posts attacking the commander-in-chief “went too far.”

The world’s richest man said he "regrets some of my posts about President Donald Trump last week. They went too far,”  

Musk claimed, without concrete evidence, the US president appeared in files relating to the disgraced paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein in a post on his social media platform, as he traded blows with his former colleague in the most public dramatic row we've seen this year.

Police came under attack as violent disorder erupted for a second night in a row in Northern Ireland on Tuesday.

Multiple cars and properties were set on fire in Ballymena while rioters hurled petrol bombs, fireworks and masonry at police officers.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) deployed riot police, fired plastic baton rounds, and used water cannons as well as dog units as part of its response to the disorder.

It came after similar violent disorder around Clonavon Terrace in the town on Monday night, following an earlier peaceful protest in the day which was organised in support of the family of a girl who was the victim of an alleged sexual assault in the area.

A new AI companion named Meo drew attention at London Tech Week (10 June) for offering users a customizable “girlfriend” experience.

Created by startup Meta Loop, Meo is designed to combat loneliness through emotional interaction and adjustable traits — including loyalty, flirtation, and even jealousy.

“With AI, you can control loyalty. They don’t cheat,” said Meta Loop’s Jiang Jiang. “Sometimes… they flirt, but only if you want them to.”

Some raised ethical concerns. “A stereotypical man’s fantasy,” said visitor Sam Romero. “Are we making women obsolete now?”
