The odds are that between now and September, most travellers to, from and within Europe will get where they need to be roughly on time.

Last week, Britain’s biggest budget airline, easyJet, revealed a raft of measures to try to protect summer passengers from disruption caused by strikes as well as air-traffic control constraints and bad weather.

Donald Trump says he can save TikTok, and that he won the vote for younger age groups in the 2024 presidential election.

“TikTok was very good to me. I won the young people by 37%,” the president bragged during remarks to the press Wednesday (28 May).

Tom Daley said he “felt helpless” for his younger self as he reflected on growing up in the spotlight.

The British Olympic diving gold medallist retired after the Paris 2024 Olympics, having first risen to fame at the 2008 Beijing Games aged 14.

“There’s all kinds of things I didn’t even know I should have tried to protect from a young age,” he told The Independent at the premiere of 1.6 Seconds, a documentary featuring unseen footage from his journey as a young teen.

“Maybe if it was growing up in this day and age and having social media, I might have had a little more control over what was released and the narrative.”

French President Emmanuel Macron appeared to reference the viral "slap" by his wife Brigitte Macron with a brief hand gesture during his welcome ceremony in Jakarta.

Arriving in Indonesia on 27 May, only President Macron's hand can be seen waving from the aircraft, before he appears in front of the cameras laughing.

He is then joined by his wife as they walk down the steps arm in arm.

The Élysée Palace has downplayed the incident, but Macron’s wave appears to offer a lighthearted response.

The White House will fight a federal court ruling on Donald Trump’s global tariffs, which found that the president “exceeded his authority” when he imposed his so-called “Liberation Day” levies last month.

Trump’s deputy chief of staff, Stephen Miller, accused the court of a “judicial coup,” while White House spokesman Kush Desai savaged the court’s decision in a statement, saying it was not for “unelected judges to decide how to properly address a national emergency.”

Merseyside Police give update media after a Liverpool parade crash.

A 53-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drugs after a car plowed into a crowd of Liverpool fans during a Premier League title parade, injuring more than 50, British police said.

A man has been charged after a car ploughed into a jubilant crowd of Liverpool FC fans at the team's Premier League victory parade.

At least 79 people, including four children, were injured after the car appeared to speed up through a crowd of hundreds of people on Water Street at around 6pm on Monday.

Paul Doyle, from the West Derby area of Liverpool, has been charged with seven offences.

He is accused of two counts of unlawful and malicious wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and two counts of causing unlawful and malicious grievous bodily harm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Doyle is also accused of two counts of attempted, unlawful and malicious grievous bodily harm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and one count of dangerous driving.

He is due to appear before Liverpool Magistrates Court on Friday.

Elon Musk announced his departure from the government on Wednesday after leading President Donald Trump’s efforts to slim down the federal bureaucracy.

The billionaire took to X on Wednesday night to share the news.

“As my scheduled time as a Special Government Employee comes to an end, I would like to thank President @realDonaldTrump for the opportunity to reduce wasteful spending,” he wrote.
