The big cut down day for the Seahawks came and went yesterday and we hear from Pete Carroll as he addressed the media for the first time after trimming the roster to 53 players. The Mariners smoked the Tigers in Detroit 9-2, George Kirby with another great start & Chris Flexen finishes the game, fully vesting his 2023 option. Salk gets a little upset after hearing Jon Gruden's comments about "being a good guy" and deserving a second chance.

This is the moment that we can start to believe that what we are seeing is real, but the work isn't over yet. Tuesdays are for accountability and today's "Take the L" features Aroldis Chapman's unfortunate tattoo, Baltimore Ravens mascot Poe & the umps in the Guardians series. Salk is back in-studio and there's a lot to cover starting w/ the news of Jimmy Garoppolo staying in San Francisco and Pete Carroll making Geno Smith the starting QB. Drew Lock did what Drew Lock does and unfortunately that's not a good thing. We could still end up seeing both QB's this season though because they are both backups, but Salk makes a long relationship analogy to try and explain just how crazy the 49ers series of offseason decisions have been before asking: who has the better QB situation?
