Happy 4th of July! We couldn't think of a better day to launch (detonate?) our actual first episode, as we reflect on where the United States is on its birthday. Avian, Rocky and Rufus discuss Congressman Mike Turner missing at an important recent Greene County tornado relief update meeting that was attended by Senator Rob Portman among others. But we spend a lot of time talking about the recent revelations of the terrible conditions that migrants and asylum seekers on the southern are being kept in after a Congressional delegation visited two of those facilities this week.
This has made lots of national news, of course, but we discuss how important it is to put pressure on your local Congressperson and Senators to bring these people out of these conditions. For those in OH-10: call Mike Turner today and let him know that he has to speak forcefully against all of this. We can change these condition. We can close these camps if we become heard and seen. Let's celebrate the country's independence the right way.
