Simon Lawson is a man striving for equilibrium in the whirl of life. He believes in keeping busy, subscribing to the old adage that an idle mind might find less savory diversions. However, Simon also recognizes the dangers of becoming too absorbed in busyness, always careful not to tip the scales into feeling overwhelmed.
In his current chapter, Simon is particularly focused on personal growth and self-improvement, acknowledging the cliche yet embracing the importance of self-development. With a keen awareness that self-improvement can often become a buzzword, Simon's dedication to self-growth is genuine and steadfast.
He is actively working on himself, not just as a passing trend but as a foundational goal. Simon has identified that to be of value to others, he must first ensure he is filled with positivity and strength. This principle drives him to renegotiate dynamics in his relationships, aiming to become a source of goodness and support to those around him.
He believes that by truly getting "good at being good" to himself, he can extend that goodness outward—a philosophy that underpins his approach to life and informs the way he interacts with the world.

He is Master Instructor and Certified Personal Trainer with over 20 years of experience transforming the lives of his clients through his proprietary method called BEST training. Greg Scheinman is a man who has deeply pondered the traditional metrics of success and how they shape our identities. Living in a society that often measures a man's worth by the size of his paycheck and the prestige of his title, Greg has observed the ubiquitous race to the top. He understands that for many men, life becomes a sequence of pursuits—climbing the career ladder, securing a high income, and then stepping into the roles of provider, husband, and father.
For Greg, these pursuits are not simply a means to an end but a reflection of cultural expectations that dictate how to look, act, feel, and perform as a man. He notes how leisure and personal passions often fall by the wayside as men focus on living up to societal standards that prioritize financial and professional achievements.
While it’s not explicitly stated what Greg does for fun, his reflections suggest that he values introspection and challenging the status quo above conventional pastimes. Greg's story reveals a contemplative individual, more concerned with the impacts of societal pressures on personal fulfillment and how such pressures dictate our priorities in life.
Greg is the creator of The Midlife Male™, a weekly newsletter and podcast designed to help men navigate and maximize middle age to achieve a better quality of life. One of the top-rated “midlife” podcasts, it features CEOs, athletes, authors, chefs, coaches, entrepreneurs, celebrities and other high- performers.
Greg is also the author of The Midlife Male: A No-Bullshit Guide to Help You Live Better, Longer, Happier, Healthier, Stronger, and Have More Fun in Your 40s and 50s (Which Includes More Sex and More Money, and What Guy Doesn’t Want That?).
At The Midlife Male™, Greg leans on his past experiences to guide compelling discussions and lead engaging conversations in what he calls “the 6 F’s“: Family, Fitness, Finance, Food, Fashion and Fun.

Eddie Pinero's journey embodies the familiar story of conventional success framed by society's expectations. He navigated high school with the singular goal of excelling academically to secure a place in a reputable college. Upon achieving this milestone, Eddie maintained his academic diligence, which led him to the expected destination: a corporate job, specifically in the insurance industry.
As routine set in, Pinero's daily drive to work became a symbol of his life's monotony; so much so that the mere prospect of a flat tire seemed like a welcome disruption to the drudgery. However, in the midst of this scripted life, there was a significant chapter during his college years that stood apart: rowing. Being a part of the men's rowing team not only honed his competitive spirit but it also planted the seeds for introspection regarding the life he was leading.
Eddie Pinero is an international speaker, video producer and the Founder of Your World Within. His goal is to inspire others to live their best lives.
From the motivational videos he creates on YouTube, to his podcast episodes, to the stages he speaks on all over the world, Eddie offers a blueprint to those looking for an edge as they navigate their day-to-day lives. With over 200 million total streams, his use of powerful spoken word and beautiful imagery is a reminder to many that they are always one decision away from a totally different life.

Jenna is a Los Angeles native, whose upbringing spurred her future entrepreneurial journey. From an early age, cannabis was a mainstream element of the culture surrounding her, planting the seeds for her future business pursuits.
Her educational path took her across the country to Duke University in North Carolina, offering her a contrasting experience to her West Coast origins. Post-graduation, Jenna's quest for success guided her to the bustling streets of New York City, where she has now resided for over a decade. Amid the fast-paced life of the Big Apple, Jenna felt the swift passage of time, her youthfulness clashing with her growing experience.
It was Jenna's personal needs that ignited the spark for her cannabis and hemp company—a venture that merged her childhood familiarity with the substance and her own adult desires for its benefits. Join us as Jenna uncovers the highs and the lows of venturing into the fast-evolving world of cannabis entrepreneurship, the challenges of navigating a male-dominated space, and the power of self-belief that takes you from concept to reality. It's more than just a business—it's a mission to bring value to people's lives naturally.
So, whether you're looking to get a better night's sleep, manage stress, or simply elevate your experience, Jenna's journey is proof that with determination and the right mindset, you can tackle any obstacle and come out on top. Stay tuned as we dive deep into the story of High Confectionary, right here on the Mile 40 Podcast.
Jenna Goldring is the founder of The High Confectionary, the no BS, all-natural gummy brand that believes in building your own buzz. Jenna started The High Confectionary in 2021 because quite frankly, she needed it. Even as a longtime cannabis user, she was still cutting edibles in half and struggled to find clean options that weren't filled with synthetic and artificial ingredients.
Before launching The High Confectionary, Jenna worked for multiple successful tech startups. While she was the VP of media sales at Fyllo, a company specializing in advertising for highly regulated brands, she decided to take matters into her own hands and declared her personal experience as an opportunity to fill a gap in the cannabis market. No one was creating products for someone like herself -- someone with a low tolerance who wants full control.
She set out to create all-natural, hemp-infused gummies with only 1mg of THC per piece to give consumers the power of building their own buzz. Ensuring a clean, high-integrity product, all High Confectionary uses full-spectrum organic hemp, real fruit flavors, natural sugar, and vegan pectin.
Jenna graduated from the University of Duke where she studied Cultural Anthropology, and now resides in New York City with her husband and son.
