"Listen! You smell something?" Now we are at a real Milestone in my movie history, as we reach 1984, and my very first trip to the cinema for what is still one of my all-time favourites; Ghostbusters!

Join me as i remember that most formative of movie-going experiences, and how its shaped my life to this day...

"Looking good, Billy-Ray", "Feeling good, Louis!"  Revisit an all-star comedy classic this week, as we take a quick look back at 1983's brilliant Trading Places in an episode that's more dependable than Frozen Orange Juice Futures!

Another Stallone action classic for this episode, let me take you back to the origins of Vietnam Vet John J Rambo; the original one-man army. Feel free to pop your old school tie round your head and run around the garden shouting "Don't push me!!" like we all did when we were kids.

Not every film from my childhood was a gritty action movie or a grown-up horror flick; for our discussion today is the original, and still the best of Jim Henson's classic Muppet movies! Still an unbeaten celebration of clever, innovative film-making with a heck of a big heart, i absolutely love this movie, and i make no apologies for voting it as my film of the year 1979! Please enjoy!

Possibly a bit more of an unexpected choice this week; the Burt Reynolds action classic 'Hooper'! Enjoy! 

For our '77 episode, we tackle the birth of one of the most influential series in film history, responsible for inspiring countless filmmakers, and still going stronger than ever today; Star Wars! Is it a work of genius, or just the kids film that got lucky? This and other important questions will likely not be answered in the next half hour..  

It's Episode 2 already, and up for discussion this time is the ultimate rags-to-riches sports drama- 1976's "Rocky"!
