Sergeant Trapnell continues on with his unusual criminal life.

End up at USP Marion. Court Martial each of the two times he joins the Army. Thief, pretend Spy. Goes to Cuba to help Castro with the revolution. Spends time in nut house. Married several times and has children. Pretends to be an Army officer on a special mission. Just an unbelievable life. Next episode is the last on Trapnell. His family jokes he is the first to make US Army Private. His grandfather was a WWII General Officer who was taken prisoner by the Japanese in the Philippines. His Uncle was a Lawyer. 

Sergeant Trapnell was in the Army twice, both times he was Court Martialed. Thief, robber, pretend spy, escape artist. He lived a life that would make an exciting movie. But like all criminals, it all ended in disaster and misery. 

Rapist? Another cadet accused of raping the women of the US Coast Guard Academy. This time the accused is white so he could not play the race card like the other cadet I talked about last week. 

The first Cadet in the history of the Coast Guard to be Court Martialed. Some have said it was only because he is black and his accusers were white women.

The State Trooper told me that Correctional Officers are "the scum of law enforcement" and should not be allowed to carry a weapon off duty, after retirement or anytime or place. He told me that his friends in the department felt the same way and he would be happy to never see me at another qualification event again. This was at my annual qualification for my federal concealed carry permit. A couple of years later, after the BLM riots, the same officer decided that we were all brothers in arms. I would have been happier if he just thought of me as scum. I went to qualify at another place, so I would not have to interact with that group of men again. Now I get to qualify with just the tester and I, it takes minutes not an hour and a half, it costs half as much.

Part two we talk about his background and some of the reason he turned into a prison serial killer.

He killed his sergeant. He took over the US Disciplinary Barracks at Ft. Leavenworth. He shot an MP. He killed some black men because he is a white warrior for God. He is a legend in the worst white prison gang in the federal system. He never repented till the day he died.

This is the recording of the actual appeal in it's entirety. The judges are civilian judges that oversee the Court Martial System. Normally they have the final word on any courts martial. The only other court that could hear this case is the US Supreme Court. They will not hear this case. It is interesting to hear how the government is turning over more and more authority to the military to try by courts martial, and convict civilians of crimes under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, (UCMJ). This recording was difficult to obtain. I know of no other place to hear it.

Here is a very long answer and story about that question. The US Army has given itself the authority to convict people by military court martial who have never been in the military. They also have the ability to try people for crimes they commit after they retire that have nothing to do with the military. Every year the US Military gains more and more power over civilians. This was a test case. There have been books written about what happened and the legal ramifications. The over one hour part two is the appeal before the military appeal court by the military lawyers. At first this case was overturned but later after the political powers at be got wind of the courts reversal of the conviction they changed their minds and upheld the conviction. This is a landmark case that everybody who is in the US military, retired soldier, or is a contractor for them should know about.
