  • 5: Start something when you're young
When you are young take risks, cause you have nothing to lose. Everyone lives to about 80 year about 4000 weeks a Millennial who is now 20 years old has 3000 weeks left. Deddy and Erik are worse off they are only left with 1900 and 1600 respectively.

Now you understand why they are in such a rush to launch millennial power and get this content out to you.

When you are still young take a risk. Why are many of you not doing this, are you too much in your comfort zone? It seems also like you want to be seen starting from the bottom.

Deddy is explaining that since social media is showing everything nowadays it is more obvious if you are starting from the bottom since everybody can follow you. Also he explains that millennials are growing up in an age where everything is readily available, instantly delivered to your house. All knowledge is available on the internet.

Fact is even Deddy and Erik are starting from the bottom before we started launching Millennial Power we made many videos and recording that we threw away. Also we have made many mistakes in our lives where things have gone wrong a lot.

So be brave, be willing to be seen starting small and take a risk and dare to fail.

  • 3: Leave the house or stay with your parents
The topic of this podcast is: Is it better to leave the house after you finish highschool or stay with your parents

Deddy talks about how he left the house right after highschool. His dad told him to pay for everything himself including tuition and boarding using his skill as a magician to make money. Deddy thinks was good for him to leave the hosue.

For Erik growing up in the Netherlands it was normal to leave the house after highschool and it taught him to take care of himself. Erik's parents paid for his education so he had it slightly easier than Deddy.

Are you still staying with your parents, for some of you this is your comfort zone and you need this. However life is about setting your own path and that is hard when you live with your parents. If you are ready to leave the house go for it, if you think your not ready don't and we can teach you how to be ready for this .

How do you know when you are ready? You know yourself better than anyone else.

  • 2: Is it better to get a job or make a living
The question for today is: Is the goal to get a job or is the goal to make a living

Many Millennials think I get a good education, study overseas even, I come back to Indonesia and I get the job of a lifetime. Then reality hits them: there are not that many jobs and there are many millennials with a good degree and a good education.

Deddy thinks the goal is to make a living for instance 10 milion rupiah ($ 800,-) and you can do that in many ways. Yes getting a job is one way but Erik and Deddy both have no jobs at the moment.

Deddy has a degree in psychology but he makes a living as an independent entertainer, talkshow host and previously as a magician. Deddy thinks if you take the easy way out and get a job with all its perks you are "not his level".

Erik has had jobs, had business and is now investing in real estate and the goal for him is to provide for his family.

What if you have no money to buy things to sell and make money that way? Erik thinks you then need to start with what you are pasionate about. You don't have to be great Deddy shares his story that when he stared as a magician doing tricks table to table in hotels he was not a great magician but he was able to 'sell' himself. It is important that you are able to sell yourself.

The goal is to make a living, not to get a job
