So you mean to tell me, we're talking harassment in the workplace? Hostile work environments are a common issue! Yep. Mental health issues in the real world is really really happening even though many people don't file harassment complaints, so you know we gone get into it. Featuring a story time from yours truly, about a personal experience at work where I felt harassed, tips on how to navigate through this, and awareness on the topic at hand!
Harassment is does not have to be physical! If you've been harassed as work I encourage you to talk to your support system, contact HR, and take necessary legal action. Take care of yourself. Acknowledge those feelings & seen counsel if needed!
STATISTICS: As promised, per the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC):
* Over 6,500 sexual harassment claims were filed in 2020.
* Over 85 percent of people who experience sexual harassment never seek legal action.
* About 70 percent of employees never "complain" within their job
* 1 in 7 women and 1 in 17 men have searched for new employment assignment, gotten new employment, or quit because of sexual harassment and or assault
* Can cause psychological problems (i.e.depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc,)
* Can cause physical problems (i.e. headaches)
