Letting go of control can be difficult, especially if we are coming from a space where we ourselves were either controlled, or we were lacking stability in past relationships. As we evolve, it is important to give our relationships the room to breath and grow in order to allow others to be authentic. It is tempting to try and control the people that we don't want to see go, or that make us vulnerable, but it does not progress our potential. Being in intimate relationships, whether it be with our children, parents, or lovers, challenge our vulnerability, and letting go of the illusion of control will ultimately lead to true love and intimacy.
