The most straight-talking, unfiltered guest to date, Lauren is an inspiration because she says it exactly as she sees it with over 20 years of parenting, a lifetime of lessons learned and an incredible dedication to supporting women in whatever way she can.
This podcast is all about being enough, and we talk about labels, rejecting the belief that our children are fragile and how unhelpful Google can be for parents.
There's no hiding away from getting deep with Nicola, and we swung from noticing temporary emotions to home schooling, from consciousness to cheese toasties. The over-arching theme of this podcast was about our innate okayness, and embracing whatever we are moment to moment. The a-ha moments in this are too numerous to count!
It's always so insightful talking to Nicola, and I know you will come away feeling exactly the same.
This week on the podcast, I am talking to the beautiful soul Suzy Reading, who has started a Self-Care Revolution, and is a huge advocate of mindfulness for parents and children.
We had some wonderful moments chatting about mind gardens, the power of soothing ourselves and the power of standing tall like a mountain!
Suzy’s new book ‘The Little Book of Self-Care’ is out now and you can find her with her regular #MondayMicroMoment on Instagram @suzyreading
This week is #infantmentalhealthawarenessweek and Anna Le Grange and I talked about exactly this for this week’s podcast! We talked about what’s going on with parents in the early days, mindful breastfeeding, what to do when we’re feeling stressed out as a new parent, bonding with our babies and winging it!
This podcast is invaluable for new parents with some brilliant tips and insights to support your wellbeing during those early days.
In this episode, I'm joined by psychologist and children's mindfulness author Bronwen Ballard. We talked about how we can engage our children easily in mindfulness, our thoughts on the education system, and how incredible parents are!
It was wonderful to connect with Bronwen and share the importance of mindfulness for children and parents, and simple ways we can integrate it into our lives.
Exam season is upon us! Whether it be SATs for the little ones, or GCSEs or A levels, or even university exams...here are three tips to support your children/teenagers (and yourselves) with exam season. More on exams later...don't get me started, I'll be ranting all day!
What happens to us when we feel under stress? And how can we view this primal instinct differently? This episode, I'll talk about the pressure on students and what happens when we experience the stress of our everyday lives.
This is one of my favourite Buddhist parables, and a lovely one to get you and your child thinking about we really know about the world.
You've heard so much about mindfulness, but where does it come from and how can it be helpful to you and the children in your life?
