"On Friday, Ken Bennett, the Senate liaison to the audit, was not allowed into the building at the state fairgrounds where the audit is taking place, a day after he shared data with outside critics from an ongoing ballot count."

#TrickleUp #Strike #FritoLay #Protest #Boycott A 20 day strike by 600 Frito-Lay workers in Topeka, Kansas has come to an end after workers negotiated a wage increase, a day off every week, and the end of what workers called "suicide shifts," where employees get only an eight hour break between shifts. The New York Times first reported on Saturday that workers and the company had reached an agreement and ratified a contract. Workers had previously rejected a contract proposal in early July, Insider's Mary Meisenzahl reported, with workers pushing back against low pay and mandated overtime, according to the Wichita Eagle. Under that proposal, workers would have received a 2% wage increase, according to Labor Notes. Labor Notes reports that some workers were working 12 hour shifts for seven days in a row. The workers at that plant "make, package, and ship nearly every type of Frito-Lay snack," according to Labor Notes, which includes Cheetos, Lays, and Doritos.

Republicans and Right Leaning Media Change of Tune with Covid and Vaccines Mitch Mcconnell "If there is anybody out there willing to listen: Get vaccinated," "These shots need to get in everybody's arms as rapidly as possible or we're going to be back in a situation in the fall that we don't yearn for - that we went through last year," "it never occurred to me" that after the COVID-19 vaccines that were quickly developed for use in the U.S., "we'd have difficulty getting Americans to get the shot." Sean Hannity "Please take Covid seriously. I can't say it enough. Enough people have died. We don't need any more death," "Research like crazy. Talk to your doctor, your doctors, medical professionals you trust based on your unique medical history, your current medical condition, and you and your doctor make a very important decision for your own safety." "And it absolutely makes sense for many Americans to get vaccinated. I believe in science, I believe in the science of vaccination."

#TrickleUp #GeneralStrike #MuteTheMedia

Last month we discussed the planned general strike for July 1st and a couple weeks ago we discussed why we thought it didn't have the impact to make the national news. Recently emerged in the conversation of general strikes is the October 15th planned General Strike. As detailed by the website OctoberStrike.com people are intending another possible strike. Reasons behind the strike include zero requirements for paid time off for maternity leave, unemployment numbers, 71% of all global carbon emissions being linked to only 100 corporations, federal minimum wage stagnation, 40 million Americans being at or below the poverty line, big Pharma extortions, and the average American being $90,460 in debt just to afford basic necessities like housing, food, clothes, education, and medical bills. The website states "This demonstration serves to show your company, and our country as a whole, that you deserve basic human rights. Your labor is a bargaining tool and you are worth more than what society is offering you."

China will "take necessary measures to firmly safeguard Chinese companies' legitimate rights and interests," the ministry's statement said.
