How can we apply mindfulness in communicating and receiving business messaging? One of the things that is missing in business is mindful listening. We claim that we’re listening, but we’re not actually listening.
We have so many distractions in our environments, and what we think is listening is really hearing. We hear somebody talk and we pick up some of the words, but we’re not really focused on that person. That’s where mindfulness listening comes in. It’s being in tuned to the other person and listening to what they have to say, being curious about their perspectives, opinions and genuinely listening!
