Thoughts and feelings are so closely connected that it's often hard to tell where one world ends and the other begins. As it turns out, The Thinker is closely involved in this world too, both encouraging emotions by telling stories and using them to feed drama.
Today we will explore how to end this drama by bringing more awareness to your internal world.
Human beings are lost in a combination of mental stories most of the time. At the core of these stories is the one main storyline, the story of "Me". This so-called me is no more than the accumulation of past experience, beliefs and conditioning, yet most of us see this story and think it is who we are.
Today, I will take you on a different journey, to experience another aspect of your experience, that is deeper than thought, deeper than belief and much more satisfying.
Today we explore how thought patterns continually grab our attention by pushing our buttons. If you ever find yourself getting lost in the same thoughts over and over again, this class is for you.
Welcome to day 1 of our series on 'The Thinker', that little nagging voice inside your head. Join me as I share with you some powerful exercises to reduce the power of this voice whilst increasing your awareness of the present moment.
We have looked at trust from 9 different angles over the past 9 days.
Today, I will fold those 9 into 1 simple mindfulness practice and ask you a couple of transformational questions.
