Leadership as a journey can become extraordinarily challenging, especially for women leaders. In the quest of achieving more, failing, and going beyond, we often do not realize how our mental health gets affected. Burnouts are more common than we think, and it is not just at the workplace that people suffer from it, it is everywhere. However, the symptoms of burnout and depression can often be misunderstood, therefore, it is important to not self-diagnose, but reach out for professional help and take a step towards your own wellbeing.

The human brain is a complex network of thoughts that can often be misunderstood, not just by others, but also by ourselves. As humans, we are susceptible to self-doubt in situations that appear to be insurmountable, but what happens when this situation persists, not outside, but in our thoughts? We feel like imposters, not worthy of what we have, or not competent enough to do something. If not all, many of us may feel this way or may have felt this way in the past. Imposter syndrome can be experienced by anyone, hence it is important to spread awareness around it.

As students, it can often be extremely disheartening applying for internships, casual, or full-time roles. Some may be lucky to quickly get through the interview processes, while for most, they receive an email saying ‘unfortunately your application could not proceed to the next stage’. This episode will talk about how one can build resilience when applying for different roles and what one can do to not lose hope in the face of rejections.
