Pastors are more than just speakers/preachers, let alone in a smaller church. Sometimes they can play the role of every job. Let alone in days like today, let's talk about preparation for ministry.

As we all work through what it means to be stuck at home and how to get through it. Many of us are also talking about what life and ministry will look like afterward when we all come back to church. Evangelism is something that has always been on my heart, and even more so now with the idea of those who do not have hope for a future or something to help them deal with fear. Let's talk about evangelism post-pandemic.

These are crazy times that we live in, and there is so much going on around the world. This pandemic has hit us hard and has pushed churches into having to use tools and their creativity to minister to people. Let's talk about how churches like Springfield Faith Center are getting creative to minister to us, how this is affecting the church as a whole, and spend just a few minutes to pray together.

The second in a two-part series. We sit down with Daniel Lanning again to talk in more detail about church planting and his experiences. Daniel shares some of the lessons that he learned and gives some points for those thinking about church planting. More so, Daniel gives some great stories about learning how to connect with a community, what to do and what not to do.

I get the great opportunity to sit down with my good friend Daniel Lanning and talk about church planting. Daniel is willing to be vulnerable and share with us what church planting is and what it was to him. He also shares his own insight into what some of the unrealistic expectations were that he had. I'm excited that this is the first in a two-part series with Daniel talking about church planting.

The process of choosing to go into a full time paid ministry takes a lot of time, stress, and consideration before jumping in. Join me as we talk about just a few things that people are considering, or have had do consider before going into a full time paid ministry.

Kids who grow up with parents in ministry usually go one of two ways, they love ministry or they don't. Let's talk about kids in ministry, the good and the bad. Let's talk about the importance of family and figuring out the balance between the two. Kids are so important, they are the future, let's share ideas to better raise them to love God and love people.

I am so excited to have my good friend Tyee Rilatos join me as my first guest on Ministry IRL. Having friends who are passionate about life, ministry, and even money is something that I love about my life. So why not share them with you? This is an introduction to Tyee and what he is passionate about. I hope to have him on the show again as we had a lot of fun recording this episode together!

Sharing different views and traditions from around the world can help us have a new and different view on different "normal" parts of church practice. We talk about that as well as how it can be hard to talk about tithing when it directly is how you get paid as a person in ministry.

Pastor Dave Lanning was a very close friend who passed away on Mon Jan 27th, 2020. Losing a loved one is never easy, let alone while in ministry and having to serve others. Join me as I process some of my own emotions as well as talk about the additional emotions that come with dealing with the passing of a friend while in ministry.
