The panelists will discuss how mentorship has played a role in their lives and career development.  Learn what responsibilities mentees have in building the relationship.  Hear about the difference between mentors and sponsors, the benefits of both, and how to take a good relationship from mentoring to sponsoring.

This past year has been defined by the COVID-19 pandemic, but the world of intercollegiate athletics has simultaneously experienced a sea of change of its own. From the potential impacts of student-athletes controlling their name, image and likeness, to the changing landscape of recruiting because of increased transfer flexibility, and the impact of greater state and federal oversight, college athletics is changing dramatically and quickly. In this session, our panel will discuss what these changes will mean for athletic departments, institutions, and the health and welfare of student-athletes.

MOAA's commitment to promote and champion diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in collegiate athletics continues with the three-part webinar series aimed at helping new athletics diversity and inclusion designees (ADID) and other DEI personnel with creating and implementing DEI initiatives on their respective campuses.

This session focused on the challenges facing diversity officers today, focusing on the changes since March 2020 when the ADID designation was implemented. Full time positions, as well as designations have been created on a number of campuses. Also, the requests of longtime diversity officers on some campuses have changed or responsibilities have increased. This webinar will discuss some of the challenges currently being faced by campus diversity officers and ways to approach them on your campus.
