Thus, you must also bear in mind that you can make a positive impact if money is used intentionally. We all know that more money does create a bigger impact, but we also don't want to be supporting things that are making a negative impact on our planet like plastic.

The relationships within a business affect the business as a whole with your clients, partners, and colleagues. Everyone can feel what's going on internally, particularly between the people that are involved. Let's say a certain client wants to work with you. If you and your business partner do not have good energy and there's something off between you two, possibly your new clients will feel that and be repulsed by it. The whole reason why they want to work with you is that you're going to bring something new, something fresh, you're going to solve a problem for them. And most of the time, people want their problems to be solved positively with a positive outcome. So, you must maintain the positive energy in your relationships.

Maintenance is a crucial piece. It's never complete. Your relationship is something that you need to always nurture and support so they can grow. Growing is not a stagnant process. There's no finishing point. But this doesn't mean that boundaries aren't crucial. Sometimes, some entrepreneurs give so much. They want to cultivate these relationships. And then, they end up giving too much and not giving back to themselves. As a result, they experience burnout, stress, and resentment in the relationship that they were trying to impact positively.

When the energy is positive, it can flow. It has that momentum and freedom, which means neither party is holding on to the energy and creating that stillness. You can also get some support from your family and friends. They should be on your side, feeling excited to watch your business grow as you are. To make that happen, you need to get them involved in some way. You can also seek professional support from a coach, mentor, or a team. Continue to push yourself outside of your comfort zone. Gain all the necessary wisdom and tools to help get you to stretch further than you ever thought was possible in yourself and your business.

Lastly, connect with who you're serving. Sometimes we need that spark of inspiration, that reminder that we are helping people change their lives for the better. That's what business is for. Let go of the expectations and pressures of needing to see results immediately. Being in that place of listening gives you the space to breathe.

Are you giving your business breath that space to breathe and have that sense of awareness? This is so powerful for business owners to do. It's that opportunity to zoom out and see the big picture of what is happening. And is it really producing the results that you were hoping it would be producing? Sometimes we'll get into the business, and we get so caught in the small picture that we lose the big vision of what we were creating and what we wanted to do for the world.

 

 

• Find your dream. Discover what inspires you.

 

This could be something totally different than your business. Maybe even scrolling on Instagram. Perhaps you found someone that intrigued you. You don't know why, but you're following them all of a sudden. Or maybe you went on to talk, and you found this hilarious thing that just lit up your day. And now you watch this super random tag stream of crazy videos. Sound familiar? Go into what is inspiring you and ask yourself, what am I finding myself dreaming about in the middle of the day when I could be working my business or working on my relationships?

There's compelling energy behind being inspired, no matter how silly or how different it is from your current reality. It's asking you to look at something from a different angle and just experience it. It's different from what the mind and body are wanting. Sometimes our soul craves things that we don't want. Maybe it's growth or expansion that could sometimes make you feel uncomfortable. Whatever that is, even if it feels irrational or has nothing to do with your business, your soul can connect you with your higher self. Just explore it. See what comes up from just having it in your energy field. It will inspire your business because you are that core piece that is connecting your inspirations to your business.

• Get real

 

This is where you get to ask yourself, how can you feel, experience, and utilize the energy of whatever just inspired you and add more value to your business? • Implementation

 

This is where you can start bringing all these small pieces together, understand how this inspiration can come into your daily life and your business implementation. Are these inspired action steps? They can be small, but you have to realize that expansion doesn't happen all at once. A lot of times, with social media, we tend to see these giant leaps that others take. You see them in their prosperous state, but you don't see all that's happening behind the scenes and all those little steps that they're taking. So, do not get tricked into thinking that success can come so quickly. It is always a process that gets built on top of one another.

 

• Reflect and integrate

 

Start making adjustments that can help realign business with your soul and what you're truly desiring to put out into the world. These changes can happen. And as we make these changes right where we're playing here, we're expecting a new outcome to happen immediately. How often does that happen for you? The thing is, it's not working sometimes. 

We need to let go of expectations that everything's going to shift on a dime as soon as we internally shift. That can cause a lot of frustration and a lot of separation because you're experiencing something internally that feels like it came to this line. It's solid, it's strong, it's empowered. And then you look out into your life and realize that's not the same thing. Just give it time because that's where the tests come in your soul. Are you going to stay in alignment even if things aren't happening right away?

Are you ready to decide to start listening to what your soul is calling you into? It can be an exciting and terrifying process but the journey is worth it. It's about showing up no matter what. We're seeing a lot of chaos and transformation happening on a global scale. In terms of stepping up into your leadership in these times, you're going to need the ABC which stands for authenticity, business, and creativity. Let's kick it off with authenticity to start. People nowadays are disgusted with outdated belief systems. People are tired of getting sold fake news. There's a lot of questions that are happening like who should we be listening to? Who should we be able to believe it, and who can we believe in this time? And so, there's a lot of uncertainty that's stirred up, which makes it even more important to be leading from a place of authenticity. The world is just craving for it right now. When you can deliver your authenticity, there's going to be a nice nurturing response that will happen from your viewers, your clients, and people that you're interacting with.

In our society, we've been taught how to use these tactfully manipulating skills to get ahead, especially when it comes to doing business. There's kind of these little ways that you can deceive someone into closing the sale. And these are being taught and passed down. But it also affects our relationships and the authenticity that we have in the life that we're creating. This is a time where tricks are not the first thing that you should be trying to do. Remove your mask and show what's underneath. That way, you can start to establish more trust.

Trust is one of the most important pieces of leadership in 2020. There needs to be a trust that is built and then continued to be sustained. There needs to be energy put into creating more trust with everyone that you are in communication with, including your clients, potential clients, viewers, your tribe, and the community that you are leading. Those are some critical pieces of authenticity. People are wanting to understand what they can control and what is certain. It's a significant time as a leader to be able to show your results that you've been able to achieve.

And here's where authentic sales come in. It's more important than ever that if you can help someone, then do that. Help them stand up in your leadership and act immediately. Remind yourself that you have a moral obligation and responsibility to serve, especially as times get more chaotic and crazier in the outside world. This is something that you can try on for yourself to understand how you need to be stepping into your truth and showing up more to be of more service.

 

This is not a time to hide your greatness. There might be some people that use the chaos of the world as their excuse for why they're not stepping into their leadership. You cannot do that to yourself. You will know if you're doing this by looking at yourself in the mirror and asking that question. And so, if you feel like there's been extra fear coming in because of world dynamics, then this is the time to make a pivot point. Switch your mindset and focus on the responsibility that you hold.

There are the basics of messaging, marketing, branding, sales, organization, strategy, all of these pieces that you need to understand as a leader. That way, you can efficiently leverage your time and be able to understand how to make a more significant impact. Not having enough time should not be in your vocabulary because you need to be willing to become a student. Maybe you've learned pieces of business here or there, or you've learned the business in school from professors who have been taught business themselves but have never actually run their own business. It is super important to understand the ins and outs of business as they are currently being run in today's society.

 

Most leaders, entrepreneurs, and coaches end up losing thousands, sometimes millions of dollars, because they're trying these different formulas or strategies instead of using proven methods that have already been done time and time again very successfully. Sometimes, they're even losing countless hours or sometimes years, and that can feel scary. And that can be terrifying to think that if you've such a big mission, such a big message to share with the world and you're missing out on years because you are doing trial and error that someone else could have helped you with. If you understand the business a little bit more, you could have jumped ahead. These are some essential pieces to just think about as you're wanting to step into the transformational space in 2020.

“Share your creativity by utilizing stories from your own life.” - Rae Irelan (14:57-15:04)

The most powerful leaders show up when things get tough. But in business, it's super important to have coaches or mentors that can help you along the way. You should have someone who has already been in your shoes and is in a position that you'd like to be in. Eventually, they'll be able to tell you the most real and honest advice and help you navigate your business. You might be able to shorten the amount of time or double the amount of impact that your mentors are doing. It is time to stand out. It is time to figure out how to get above all the noise and the clutter of leadership that's happening, and really show who you are so you can do that by just being you. You're already unique enough. You just need to share those parts in your leadership. The more that you're clear on your unique angle, the easier it's going to be for you to identify it with clients that are a perfect match for you. In return, for them to be able to identify you as their perfect coach. And you'll be able to make a bigger splash and more profound impact in the lives of people that you're serving.

 

How can you be in your creative space once a day? And that might mean adjusting other priorities. Some ways that you can understand and learn how to share your creativity is to utilize stories from your own life. And these compelling stories, no matter what life you're living, it will just open up a whole new room full of creativity for you to play with. Play with your storytelling. Sometimes, your vulnerability can attract potential clients to work with you simply because they can relate with your story in a deeper way. And they see you as a human, not just a leader. Creativity truly comes when there is enough space. Make sure that you set up your creative time. It's as important as other business things that need to be taken care of. Make sure that you have these segments of time where you can just be creative, or you have space. Whether you like to sing, dance, paint, or write, take the time to do that because it's going to spark new ideas for how you can be a better leader.

My Near-Death Experience and How It Changed Me 

 "I was placed here on the planet to do something."Rae Irelan  

Some experiences in our lives are the trigger point for change. In this case, I almost faced death to realize what I needed to do with my life. 

In this episode, I will share with you my thoughts about my near-death experience and how it affected my views in life. 

Part One of My Near-Death Experience and How It Changed Me 

 

For those who do not know, I was a touring musician. Our career was going well, and I gave my whole heart and soul to that for many years. Think about doing 20 to 25 shows a month. We have a booking agency and management team, and it was just a lot of excitement. I immersed myself in the world of live music and rock and roll. 

"The biggest lesson that I received in my near-death experience was our resiliency as humans." - Rae Irelan (12:28 - 12:37)

To cut the story short, what happened was, I got into my car while I was upset. My life at that time was not at its best. My relationships were messed up, and my love life was in shambles. I would usually turn to drugs and alcohol to help me deal with my emotions.  I wanted to get out of that life. 

 

And then I met an accident. My car went flying off the freeway, and I felt the car rolling, which was odd because I had the same dream since I was a little. And I thought it still was. Then, I heard a voice that I had never heard before. It wasn't the sound of my inner voice. It was definitely outside of me. 

That voice basically told me, "You've been asking to leave your whole life. This is your gift. I want to give you a way out." 

That's when it hit me. It was not the time to leave. I was not ready, and I haven't completed what I was brought here to do. I was thinking, "Please let me stay. I need to do what I was brought to do."

I finally heard an 'OK.' I was coming back to my full consciousness. The last few tumbles happened, and then there was silence.  

Part Two of My Near-Death Experience and How It Changed Me 

So I made out alive, and I was able to scramble up my way back. A man who was driving behind me was in shock and told me the story of what happened.

Upon hearing it, I was almost ecstatic, knowing that I am alive. 

I was ready to go back home to write my ideas. I wanted to hold my loved ones and call everyone. And then reality hit me. 

I saw lights of an ambulance, fire trucks, and cop cars. They slammed me against the cop car, and I was arrested. While I was sitting at the back of the car, I thought, "This is not what I imagined." 

Most of us, when we are in a similar situation, you might think that this wasn't something you signed up for. In reality, these pieces of our lives, me sitting back at that cop car and waiting in the jail cell, strengthened me in my core. It made me realize that no matter what darkness you surround me with, I will shine my light. 

 

You have to choose what you want to be in your life. And if you deeply believe in that, it’s going to happen. It’s a declaration. 

It is the reason I created Soul Aligned show. I want people to get clear with their mission and purpose. Remember that you are brought here for a reason. 

There are many people with anxiety and depression who are still dealing with it because they are not taking action.   

"One of the most dangerous places we can be as leaders is to not be in alignment with our truth." - Rae Irelan (16:12 - 16:21) 

Another lesson that I learned from my experience is the 'TRUTH.' When you look at the mirror, do you see the same things that people see in you? I thought, all of the stuff inside of me, I had never shown to the world at that point. It was a time for me to reveal myself to others. And the first step was to forgive and accept myself.

All the pieces of you, all the ones that you were hiding, all the ones that you didn't want other people to see - bring it forward. It magnifies the light that you already are in the world because people can finally relate to you and can finally feel the humanness inside of you.

Do you feel a little bit under the weather today? Do you feel some sadness and grief? Stop for a moment and start navigating your way through with grace. Get rid of all the things that are trying to diminish what you want to offer and what you wish to do. Close your eyes, and meditate on what you want to be doing right now.

Start rubbing your heart, really creating that friction, creating that heat at as you rub it. Then, move your body and allow it to release energy. Notice how your body is feeling now. Do you feel lighter or relaxed?

Part Two of ‘Brain Drain Causes and Solutions WITH Hemalayaa’

Remember your power, your greatness. You are just learning how to mother yourself through all of this. Your mom is just a reflection of your upbringing. But remember your power of action. It's all up to you. You get to choose.

“When I'm not practicing my boundaries, I'm not in the fullness of me feeling really good.” - Rae Irelan (51:37-51:44)

 

Keep shaking and let go of anything that holds you back from being the best version of yourself. From what you should be reflecting. It's like you're giving yourself some time and space to feel the pleasure of everything. That way, you're filling your cup so you can pass it through and spill it over into creativity.
