While travelling Europe, teaching garden design, Rachel found herself locked down in Spain during the Covid era. She endured authoritarian armed police enforcing ten-minute limits, €600 fines for minor infractions, and months of near-incarceration in suffocating 40 degree heat.
In her harsh, enforced isolation, Rachel began to research and question the realities behind many global narratives. She quickly recognised that much of what we are told, particularly about climate change, simply doesn’t hold up to scrutiny.
On her return to England, Rachel quickly turned her experience and research into Colchester Council Watch. She challenged her local council’s Net Zero agenda and exposed the contradictions in local ‘climate science’, all with considerable success. Her YouTube channel soon became a powerful wake-up call for thousands.
After two intense years tackling UK council hypocrisy, with some notable wins, she stepped back to write her book Misadventures of an Accidental Activist. Sandi was asked to review it before publication, as her work is cited in it.
The book is funny, sharp, and engaging. It is perfect for anyone beginning to question what is really going on in the world. This interview captures the remarkable story behind it.
Rachel can be found on her website as well as on X, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Substack.
