Misfits On Main

Back with another wacky week. CJ had to say “see ya real soon!” this week so Mackee and Ila dove into this episode rogue. (We missed you, dude!) We got to reminisce on our springtime memories in Walt Disney World. School break crowds, favorite eats, and mishaps aplenty.

Dove into the happiest news, Disneyland is officially reopening! We were so excited to share joy with our west coast friends who are getting that magic back. We also discussed the newest Marvel addition to Disney+.

Feelings were short and sweet this week, seeing the all-around light at the end of this long, dark tunnel while sharing some minor annoyances.

If you haven’t already, now is certainly the time to subscribe and join the Misfit Magic every Monday! We can’t wait to have ya! The Misfit Kingdom starts to come alive as our three hosts build out their perfect dream parks. A villain's gate, a Pixar-themed gate, and a theme park of pure nostalgia, the Misfits really push their brainpower and Imagineering to the brink with some of their ideas. Don't miss this episode and see if any of these ideas really hit you in the feels.

Hot topics? It may be the hottest topic of all in a Disneyland reopening! There is finally some good news for our friends on the West Coast and we break down what we do know of the coming reopening. Are you ready to get back to Disneyland? So are the Misfits! We also discuss some trending news about Disneyland Paris and the potential for a brand new park! With construction already happening but not official word from Disney, what do Mackee, ila, and CJ think about the backstage hustle? Lastly, a discussion on when we should be able to ride along with Remy on his Ratatouille Adventure. Disney has made the announcement and our hosts react.

CJ presents some important rapid-fire Disney travel tips in the Misfit Mid break. Usually, a big fan of Magical Express, listen to why he feels quite different about it now. If you have a trip coming in this unique time, you may find some of these tips useful.

A fan-favorite episode returns as Death Row Disney Meals returns to Epcot, this time for the 2021 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival.  We already know this is CJ and ila's favorite festival, so what happens when they are forced to pick their last breakfast, lunch, and dinner? Will they be able to make the hard choices? Will Rules be broken? It's a romping tour around The World Showcase with the trio, don't miss it!

Hot topics feature a conversation around Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary. The World's Most Magical Celebration is coming up quickly and all three hosts have thoughts on what they are most excited for. There are some pretty special things planned for this 18-month long celebration, drop a listen to see what has been released so far from Disney.

Mid break features two new segments. One to be named, and one that very much lives up to its name, "Rant or Rave, as two misfits have opposing views on a very hot topic in the Disney social media atmosphere. Where are you on this topic? Head to the Discord to chat more!

Last but never least is the new charity highlight, Action Against Hunger. If you would like to donate and help combat unsafe drinking water and malnutrition, click here... https://www.actionagainsthunger.org/donate/save-lives-end-hunger

Do you always find yourself picking between two Disney favorites? Do you wonder who else feels the same you do? In today's episode, the Misfits discuss some of their "this or that's" and put each other to the test. Think you know our hosts? Some of these answers may surprise you! Do you have a this or that? Or are you interested in discussing with the Misfit Mafia? Head to the discord for more. https://discord.gg/RPZtKCB3kN

ila, Mackee, and CJ are also joined by the Misfit Mafia for the first portion of the show as they go over some recent Hot Topics that dredge up some feelings from the chat. The news covers the brand new Walt Disney World Swan Reserve, the reopening of an International Disney Park, and how long we can anticipate using the Disney Park Pass system. Lots to discuss for sure when it comes to Disney news.

There's a brand new Background Noise on the block from CJ as he discusses Zenimation and what it's meant to him recently. A compilation of Disney shorts as a stress reliever? Don't miss this one!

From start to finish, this episode is FULL of soul as you in the Misfit Mafia really brought some heartwarming memories, the main topic features a topic dear to the three hosts, and ila brings the #emo in her Midbreak. This show was so unique, the hosts even flip the script some and start off with Hot Topics with news of new hotels joining the Disney Gateway Hotel Collection and a new magic band one Misfit already has on preorder.

Stepping into your voicemails, things get emotional for some of our hosts as many of you showed up with Cast Member stories of your own that really hit home to the Misfit hosts. From interactions with characters to CMs going above and beyond when it wasn't necessary, hearing your memories made this episode something really special.

CJ, Mackee, and ila round out with the show topic of Soul, and spoiler alert: these three love this movie. Find out why and where this movie ranks for the hosts as they deep dive into a discussion about this direct to Disney+ smash. It's an ultimate "Stream it or Skip it" episode you don't want to miss.

We all have Castmember interactions we can speak of that have made a Disney vacation even better just because of the added attention and kindness. Today, CJ and Mackee discuss the monumental impact Disney Castmembers have had on their personal experiences as well as other times they have been witness to acts of CM kindness. It's a great episode to bring back those special CM memories of your own. If you have one to speak of, consider calling in and sharing it with us!

With ila off this week, guys take hot topics to Wakanda, California, and Disney Springs. From the potential for a new Disney+ series to a new event in Springs that's continuing the Soul love train, the hosts have been on for weeks. Are you spotting a trend? Our Misift hosts LOVE Soul! On the topic of love, CJ had some SERIOUS love for some food offerings in Epcot during the Taste of Epcot International Festival of the Arts. Spoiler... the pop'tart is MUCH improved!!

Mickey bars and Molotovs include the very sensitive and real topic of cyberbullying and how even the Disney social media space can see this happen in a place most wouldn't think it could. A big reason the Misfit Mafia exists is to stand against this behavior and it sends both hosts into a hot rage for a moment. CJ then uses the Mickey Bar moment to lighten things and talk about his solo park day. How long do you think he stayed on Main Street?

As the Misfits do, we’re mixing things up. Ila and Mackee gave CJ the week off and we dove into our top Disney movies. In true Ila and Mackee form, we broke the rules, we wandered from the topic, we missed CJ a heckin lot, but we had so much fun, as we always do.

Hot Topics was a wild ride this week as we dove into the new area of France that opened for the much anticipated Ratatouille attraction. And then Disneyland’s current Annual Pass system, as we know it, has come to an end. Speaking of Disneyland, PR over at the company also released some footage about the Spiderman ride footage that is waiting for us whenever the parks in CA are able to open and the Avengers Campus is able to debut. Closing out our Hot Tops this week is sure to be a subject we come back to down the line, The Muppets are coming to Disey+!

You’ll notice we had some additions to the show, we let the Discord Misfits chat away while they listened to our taping. This gave YOU! The Misfits! A chance to come along this podcasting journey, and while this won’t be an every week, full episode feature, we’re excited to continue to bring it back again and again and it’s just another reason to join the fun on our Discord server.

If you haven’t already, now is certainly the time to subscribe and join the Misfit Magic every Monday! We can’t wait to have ya! Was Peter Pan's story all in his head? Whatever became of the lost boys? Did the Darlings grow up or live in Neverland forever? The Misfits answer those questions and MORE on today's episode of The Misfits on Main podcast. Where are they now? Peter Pan edition has some dark themes you may not see coming but a conversation you definitely want to check out! Lots to learn about the inhabitants of Neverland!

First, as always, its hot topics... and these are HOT! Magical Express and Extra Magic Hours are being cut, some shade is getting tossed the way of Disney's Contemporary Resort, and Disneyland as a vaccination site! Not the Disneylan opening the hosts were hoping to bring you, but big news nonetheless.

There is a new segment in the midbreak, Majority vs Minority as we learn the Misfit Majority on Mickey bars versus Micey ice cream sandwiches. Do you have a favorite? The Majority may surprise you!
